Petunia wasn’t entirely forgotten, she still gets art occasionally. Last picture was on January 24th and two fics about her are circling around too, one is just on writeoff.me, the other one on FIMFiction.net, though, and even made it into the Feature box.
But she doesn’t get art very often and those fics is the only one for her so far, sadly.
That’s the fate of a lot, if not to say all, the background ponies of nowadays….. The fandom just doesn’t pay attention to them anymore and focuses more on the Mane Six and the “Pony of the Season” these days, which was Starlight Glimmer in Season 5 and is now with Season 6 Flurry Heart.
Which is a concern, because it really makes the fandom’s art output fell dull and mainstream, when all the creative opportunities with background ponies aren’t used anymore…..
I have a little hope that the fandom returns to background ponies lately, because Lily Longsocks gets a lot more attention on FIMFiction.net lately, she got three fics written for her in less than two months! One is even ongoing.
And two of them even got popular and made it into the Feature box as well.
It gives me slight hopes that this fandom remembers its roots again and starts to write as much for background ponies as it used to. I really hope it isn’t just a phase…..

Alot of amusing/adorable Season 5 & 6 bit & BG characters seem forgotten.
One of my favorites Plaid Stripes was only popular for a week, now nobody remembers her.

I don’t watch “The Simpsons” anymore, but what is happening here exactly?
I want to know what Petunia found.

Now there’s a second meme for Petunia. :D But what I really want to see is art and stories for her!

I recall, many didn’t like that episode. Even Harry Shearer voice of Principal Skinner disliked it.

Personally, I felt the episode where Edna left Skinner hanging at the altar, (can’t remember the name of it) and basically broke ‘em up was worse. (The ship sinking wasn’t the main thing that bothered me, but admittedly all those years building them up as a pair, and supposedly helping them become better people now feel wasted. Granted, doesn’t matter now that they got rid of her, due to her VA unfortunately passing.)
The episode felt very mean-spirited to me, and Marge was downright nasty in it especially. (I understand she was mad at Homer for being a dork, but regardless, she came off much worse then he did. Especially, when she was trying to encourage Edna not to give Skinner another chance, just because she was mad at Homer.)
I know Skinner is a bit of a “weiner” (classic Simpsons ref’) but I genuinely felt sorry for him in the ep’, and he didn’t really do anything in it to deserve being treated so badly.
Only good thing about the ep’ was that series creator Matt Groening guest starred briefly.

There had been a few “jumping the shark” eps before that, but that episode alone was the one where I stopped watching the show regularly I hated that one so much. It just felt too much like a downer to me.

Yeah, I hate to be one of those people, but the Simpsons just aren’t the same to me anymore. It used to have some heart, but I don’t know. It just seems more mean-spirited then it used to be. I did enjoy the “gimmicky” Lego episode though, and a few other recent ones though, but I rarely watch it now aside from occasional curiosity.

I laughed my ass off with The Simpsons until Season 18 or 17 ,after that the laughs became scarce.IMO it took a nosedive to “hilarious” from “dull and tired” around Season 20-onwards.It’s not very funny anymore, the nuggets are very far in between but it didnt reach Family Guy level of bad.
