I always just shipped the Mane 6 with each other since they already have a strong friendship/strong emotional bonds with each other.
 
I also understand not everyone else feels that way, so I listen to and respect those opinions as well. Even if I don’t always agree with them personally :3

okay, now that i saw what the motive was i must say that if soarindash doesn’t become canon this fandom’s gona be a blood bath. it’s fun to see some ahem “shiping war” pics here and there, but don’t you think this is an overreact level? also, let’s say it didn’t become canon, so what? it was their choise wasn’t it? soarindash is my otp and it’ll always be, and when i saw zephdash and especialy quibbledash beeing a thing i wasn’t mad, i was actually happy to finally see more straight dash shipps, after all those years with only soarindash beeing the only popular straight dash shipp it was getting kinda lonely y’know? and creating drama in the comments wont help in any way, criticism yes but not drama

It was the Derpibooru of the fandom before it shut down and everyone moved here.
 
There were practically no mods, so there was nobody to stop drama from being stirred up or enforce any rules. So when the CMC love potion episode aired and provided an alternative to the Fluttermac ship, the following shipping war had a snowball effect. People would post images about the “other” ship, slag each other off in the comments, and it lasted for months.
 
Haven’t seen anything like it before or since.

Btw, love your work on Fimfiction. Just started getting into fanfiction and yours are some of the most interesting I’ve come across. Keep up the good work!

Jesus H. Christ, it’s this kind of sensless sensitivity that gives Soarindash a bad name. Why can’t people just ship what they want? Why do we have to belittle each other over such trivial crap? How the hell is Soarindash being threatened?! That’s the most laughable concept I’ve heard in a long time.
 
Instead of welcoming these new characters and ships and, God forbid, letting them peacefully coexist alongside each other and the already established one, we get this childish ‘compensation’ disguised as art and constant arguments that makes all sides look like jackasses.
 
On behalf of the Soarindash fanbase, I apologize for this. I assure you not all of us are this obsessive and irrational about it, but the ones who are are pronounced enough to hurt everyone else. It’s almost hard to believe that a few days ago, you could search under “soarindash”,“soarin’”, etc. and see some good art without this shipping war and bickering, just people enjoying and sharing the ideas they love.
 
If you think my ship is nonsense, that’s perfectly fine with me, but belittling such tastes is just childish. I will gladly respect your opinion if you don’t condemn mine. The fact this fanbase gets so worked up over something as ultimately pointless and futile as shipping still boggles my mind.
 
And, if I haven’t already, I’ll probably be hypocritical here, but the most pitiful part is no one’s gonna care when this is over. When the storm ends, the fans are gonna go back to their same old shipping they would do normally as if all this never happened.
 
I like Derpibooru, but good God this site can start some needless drama when it wants to.
 
I look forward to things returning to their normal. In fact, I’d love to see some art/stories of Quibble, Soarin, and Zephyr engaged in friendly socializing with each other and maybe even becoming friends themselves. But that’s likely hoping for too much.
