And it’s been interesting to watch the show deal with some of the background ponies who have ended up going from computer generated pairings of puppet and color and butt stamp to (however accidentally and unintentionally it might have been) more fleshed out characters.
 
I imagine some of the questions the show staff get are a little reminiscent of a D&D game where one of the players says they want to go back to “that town” because they fell in love with some NPC that you spawned as the bar owner without any thought and who you have no memory of.
 
And since having more Quibble Pants means having to buy and schedule more Patton Oswalt, odds are this may be his only appearance (unless maybe they do a convention episode in the future), and Soarin’ will almost certainly get more chances for shipping pics than Quibble Pants ever would.
 
It’ll be interesting to see what happens between now and Episode 200, assuming they do an Episode 200.

To be fair though. So far the celeb characters get more development due to their characters being based off of “real people”. They may or may not have another chance, so they cram in as much as possible as well. Soarin’ isn’t really based off any real character and will probably continue showing up in any Wonderbolts related ep (he may even show up in that rumored Twilight episode). He also seems to share the similar problem as some other characters like Big Mac and Shining.
 
Soarin’s other problem is that he has to share the spotlight with other Wonderbolts too.

I think it’s a much more interesting narrative, too. Here you’ve got someone who should be the perfect match, but they disagree the most vocally on the one thing they agree about the most.
 
Its sets up an interesting set of stories, too, and can make for a very compelling set of story arcs or even asides in the normal run of the show.
 
For example, “Everyone assumes that they made out because they were together all night” but they actually spent the whole night arguing about the right thinness or thickness of paint to use to get exactly the right shade of color on their new miniatures that they were painting, and ended up painting multiple miniatures using different mixes to prove who was righter until they were both late for work.
 
That right there is an interesting couple.

Being a ‘Soarindash fag’ myself, even I’ll admit some of us frequently grasp at straws…Just like the vocal majority of shippers do. Honestly, I don’t blame you for keeping away from shipping, especially when shippers and/or anti-shippers start such pointless drivel like this.

I’m not into shipping but it seems to me that even just from the one episode she has more chemistry with Quibble.
