Description
At Bronycon this year, M. A. Larson was asked whether there was an episode idea he always wanted to write, but never had the chance to. He stated that he wanted to do an episode based on a running joke among the writers about Applejack having a rival named “Pear Steve”. I like to think he would be a sweet, hippie-like character, and that Applejack’s hatred toward him would be completely irrational.
Also note: I’m color-blind, so I’m fairly certain Pear Steve’s colors are atrocious to look at. My apologies =P

Oh man, tell me about it XD
>just let it go
You fool! Do you realize what you’ve done!?
just let it go applejack!
“Ah’ll getcha Pear Steve! If’n it’s th’ last thing ah doooooo!”
P.S. While some ponies’ coats are dark-gray and brown, it’s more like exception and much harder to pull off.
Oh my gosh, that’s amazing XD
She learned nuthin because she was already right you can’t learn a lesson you already knew. I do agree she could have partnered with them though there product was fine till they tried to rush it.
@Lucky Shot
You mean that episode everyone seemed to love but you?
And Pear Steve’s colors look fine.
He had the chance around the time he questioned his own judgment on an episode concept and then wrote Amending Fences anyway.
I could see how Applejack would be bothered by a pony that reminds her too much of herself.
You could also argue that Applejack is just as bad when it comes to business though! The Flim Flam brothers offered her an opportunity to create enough cider to satisfy what was clearly a HUGE demand, and yet, she turned them down and, in her own words, “learned nuthin’”
Maybe there’s just something about farmers in Equestria… =P
This guy has terrible business skills.
