For sources, why don’t you bring out real scientific journal articles written by people who have PhDs instead of youtube videos and websites that can be considered pretty much as conspiracy material, considering it’s all very biased, and the only thing you seem to trust. And yes, we’re all the stupid ones when you can’t seem to write your own sentences properly, can’t provide proper sources that modern highschoolers are able to do, or even think that the image is at all related to climate change and/or we’re killing the Earth.

There are zero toxic or heavy metals involved in any of the existing stratospheric aerosol injection programs that are being planned or that have been tested.
 
There is no secret underground government trying to kill us with chemtrails, the current levels of CO2 in our atmosphere are not “higher than it was during most of the previous mass extinction events in this planet’s history”, and there is no secret cabal of nefarious villains secretly infecting your body with billions of microscopic machines which we haven’t even fucking invented yet.
 
And the planet’s atmosphere is not 100% guaranteed to explode in 5 years.
 
Stop presuming that everyone who doesn’t agree with you is stupid, or somehow incapable of reading the same data you are sharing and coming up with entirely different conclusions.

you’re right , but in the wrong direction you’d like to think you’re right in , last year the closest global death date we had a prediction of was by the scientist Guy McPherson in around 2030 or 2040 , guy however is an avid denier of the history of climate engineering http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/a-meeting-with-scientist-guy-mcpherson/, so the reality of the situation is far worse than what he points out , and now this year we got the 5 year mark from Malcolm Light from the arctic news group
 
so yes our theories do change , but they’ve only been changing for the worse for the climate as time progresses , so really in all likely hood we could see this happen even sooner than 5 years…..

Yes, it still shows that the current levels are irrelevant, because it shows that historically they have been TEN TIMES higher than they currently are for a full third of the history of life on the planet. Trimming it and scaling it to make it appear like this logarithmic increase does not change that fact. That is deliberately editing the context of the evidence to make it look worse than it is.

Wowie so one dude predicted a thing years ahead and it became true, yet normal meteorologists can’t fuckin’ predict the weather for the damn day. Science or not, it can’t predict everything alright? And this is coming from someone who studies science, I know this stuff isn’t mumbo jumbo, but there are no such things as absolutes, history is clear indication of that. Calling me uneducated when clearly the end of the world has been predicted time and time again, and when scientific theories and predictions have been changed over the years.
 
I don’t care whether you’re right or whatever facts you pull out, because you know what? No one’s gonna believe it mostly because they don’t want to. This entire thread is the very proof of that. I was using explosion in the literal sense of the term – a rapid expansion of gas. I was also only referring to the absolutely worse scenario, which is all the methane at once bursting out. And yes, that won’t happen because I can’t even think of a trigger for it. I’m against this idea of the world being destroyed in the next few years, not for it. It’s just extremely unlikely for it to happen now of all times.

That is not what the graph you posted as evidence shows. The graph you posted as evidence shows that for hundreds of millions of years the CO2 levels were significantly higher than they are now, without any extinctions during the vast majority of those years.
 
And the site that you linked as proof of your concerns completely contradicts your “we’ll all be dead in 5 years” claims. The site you keep linking says that the CO2 levels won’t approach the levels that you are panicking about for another 100 years.
 
Calm down, stop panicking, and chill, dude. Yes, the climate is changing. Yes, carbon dioxides in the thawing permafrost are worrying. But the atmosphere isn’t going to explode, there isnt going to be a mass extinction event by 2021, and we’re all still going to be here, posting about ponies, in five years time. Or, at least most of us will be. Especially those of us with no lives.

And even when methane blooms do happen - which they absolutely do - they don’t explode, because they are either too dispursed to explode, or they are so concentrated there isn’t enough oxygen for an explosion to occur, like when lakes periodically roll over and burp up a giant cloud of methane that asphyxiates everything in its path - including fires.
 
This whole “the atmosphere is going to explode in five years” stuff is pure fantasy. It’s reminiscent of folks who “knew for a fact” that the first hydrogen bomb test was going to … You guessed it … “set the planets atmosphere on fire and turn the Earth into another Venus”.

Edit: Saw the post I’d missed on the last page. “higher than ever” you say. When the chart clearly shows that it’s at a LOWER level than any other point in history. Even the hypothetical quintipling jump put it lower than the entire Triassic through Paleocine period. What even.
 
Also, trying to imply rising CO2 causing extinctions is correlation implying causation; When mass extinction occurs, there are less things alive to generate CO2 by breathing; shockingly, the levels drop precipitously after there’s suddenly much less living things to generate CO2.

Atmospheric ignition wouldn’t happen even if a large methane pocket burst. There would be a massive explosion and then a blast of heat, but that wouldn’t last too long. The atmosphere cannot just ‘burn’ from something like that.
 
I’d like to see a reputable source that says the atmosphere as a whole can actually ignite from something like this, as in all of the oxygen undergoes a chemical reaction called combustion, not just the methane itself.
