@Liggliluff: To answer you, I think Spitfire is far more of a stereotype than Rainbow. The Lad-ette trope isn’t a bad thing, but people can’t be afraid to draw ladies doing… lady things.
Like I remember back in the wee days of the fandom when someone drew Rainbow with lipstick it was down voted to oblivion.

I agree. She’s nice; supporting Flurtershy’s animal dream and caring for Tank. ANd this scene. Out of these few, she touch me mroe; a gentle giant hugigng and kissing a little one.
It be sweet if we see ehr hug and kiss little ones more; includign her babies.

Dash has always had a feminine side, be it crying and admitting Shy’s dream of owning a wildlife sanctuary is pretty awesome, to occasionally have a feminine voice. Hell I think hee affection towards Tank shows she does care for emotional stuff. I think the problem is aside from a few exceptions, the new writers had no idea how to write Dash and kind of just played it by ear.

I get the feeling a lot of fans blame the show for them no longer having those feelings of watching something fresh and obscure unfolding before their eyes.

I miss those days where we anxiously wait each week for those S1 episodes, back when FiM was relatively obscure with the internet. It made the series feel “new”, you know?
