It’s not like getting a cold is a horribly debilitating disease. If she had like, Ebola yeah sure isolation is what is needed, but some good tlc helps people get better. So because someone feels unloved they’re just being selfish. Yeah, okay. Impecable logic there buddy.

Whatever. I think it’s stupid to hurt herself to show affection when you can easily do the same without putting yourself at risk. Call me coldhearted, I’ll call myself sensible. If the sick one feels unloved, that’s them just being selfish.

That sucks about your mom. It seems you react the same way as her. But still, that’s a bit cold hearted of her.
 
You could do it that way, but it’s not as tender and you know, comforting.

You have never met my mother then. I get extreme isolation when I get sick. You can treat another without getting the sickness yourself. Isolate and cure, don’t just get it yourself.

Isn’t caring for someone to help them feel better worth the risk of getting sick? Even if you’re not caring for them, it’d be kinda dickish to be like “stay away from me! You’re afflicted!”
