It was both larger and clearer, and at the time I genuinely thought that it was the same image, just… smaller and uglier. I had not quite realized how different they actually were until you yourself said that the uglier one was also ‘more complete’, which created a whole new list of reasons for me to express disapproval for the action taken.
 
EDIT: Actually, let me avoid putting words in your mouth. The exact phrasing was “…only about half the scene.” I then added that to the laundry list of complaints I had, two of which have since been dealt with.

Maybe next time you should clarify that when you say “larger, clearer” you really mean “shorter, more succinct.”

See, in this instance, my main issue is that this still has more than half of its time spent on Pinkie’s mouth flapping up and down, and then we get the brief visual gag that made it worth seeing. The other was just the visual gag, and thus it had value as a thing to glance at or share with someone for a quick chuckle. This one makes you wait, without sound or subtitle, just watching a ‘talktalktalktalk’ animation with a bit of head bobbing thrown in to keep the kids at home from falling asleep, before delivering the little gag which is the only real reason you’d even watch the gif in the first place, which heavily detracts from its value on the whole. And I can say that with a fair amount of certainty since I haven’t seen the episode, but the other one made me laugh, and this one just… drags on. If I’d needed to sit through it like this the first time, I can guarantee I wouldn’t have even found it worthwhile.
 
But that’s just, like, my opinion.
 
 
EDIT: All of that said, the visual quality on this one is much nicer, so, props on that at the very least. I can always just haul my butt over to ezgif to clip out the excess, really.

I uploaded a new copy of the full scene at higher res.
 
We merge a looooot of screencaps during new episode days. Personally I prefer a picture that captures the scene better than one that may be higher resolution.
 
If I wanted to re-live the scene I’d watch the video.
