My exact words were “kind of a jerk”. And yeah, Twilight was obviously stressed and stalling, but instead of trying to get Twilight to open up or even just waiting to see if she’d do so on her own, Celestia acted in a very deliberately annoyed and displeased manner, adding to Twilight’s stress.

Yeah, Celestia seemed to be kind of a jerk in this episode, which really doesn’t feel right. At this point I just about want them to drop her from the series altogether; they apparently don’t know how to make her wise and understanding and entertaining at the same time.

I think also she is annoyed may be the fact she is seeing Twilight failing to teach her student the same test she was taught from her.
 
Princess Celestia: Twilight when I told you to make new friends I did not try and force some on you cause I held a grudge on somepony you liked.

She’s bored and hungry you do the math. Remember those times when you are ready to eat a big feast but NOPE you gotta wait till everyone is there and your stomach is just growling for food.
 
Not to mention, Twilight is stalling and Celestia knows it. One thing Celestia doesn’t like is Twilight hiding stuff from her.

My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

She seemed a little moody/out if character, compared to how she usually acts around twilight. I honestly thought it was a little forced. Or maybe she’s just now realising that with magic, the whole handle of the fork is useless, and is of little benefit to hooves anyway?
