Except Spike knew where Peewee’s parents were. He wasn’t abandoned or orphaned. Taking him back was the right thing to do.
I was positive that was Tirek.
Isn’t she still secretly a bat? (or was in a dream at least)
Like a library…but more magical?
Princess Luna was in the credits of Castle Mane-ia
Hopefully nothing.
Definitely nothing.
Possibly Tirek. Otherwise, nothing.
…the comic book that disappeared?
…the pony in the shadows?
Agree. If felt like SAYS writing on that account. Hopefully with the new spin they’re taking on Spike, Pee Wee can return if just to see how he’s doing.
I know, They put him in this role as the MC’s right hand with grown up responsibilities but heavens forbid the kid having a pet of his own.
I also remember that back then some people were spitting the ridiculous argument that Spike shouldn’t have taken the bird home, because “he can’t take animals just like that”, yet have no qualms with Twilight doing the same with Owlicious or Pinkie having an aligator.
I mean, the circumstances around Spike and his reason to keep him were reasonable. And it’s not like he took a manticore or a hydra.
Tsk, it makes me wish that one the current writers makes him randomly show up and make him stay. It’s ridiculous.

Being Spike is suffering
Sucks even more when you consider by that point the show was making a big deal about how everyone in the mane 6 had a pet and had such inclusive play dates that RD want a pet to join. I’m not sure how Spike could take care of Twilight and his library duties but not PeeWee.
I don’t even care if he was a Merriwether character. That was a dick move, in my opinion.

It just feels like the move was more a knee-jerk reaction to some of the more fringe voices that made the worse assumptions about Spike saving the chick. I mean it’s not like stuff like this actually happens in the wild and animal rescue is called in. And of course Rainbow’s “pet race” was completely legit.
Same here.
No problem.
You’re welcome.

Huh, it’s been a long time since I watched that episode. For some reason I thought the egg was returned at the end of the episode. Thanks for the response!

Spike got a baby phoenix at the end of Dragon Quest. The next episode, this happened: removal of a “character” off-screen.
No one got killed off. In one episode Spike got a baby phoenix, with a nice scene at the end and all. (Part of the “everyone has a pet” thing?)
Except I guess later they decided they didn’t want to give Spike a pet after all, for whatever reason, so the baby phoenix simply never showed up again, with our only explanation being another episode briefly showing these photos that imply that Twilight made Spike return the phoenix to its parents after an incident involving ice cream.
In Dragon Quest, Season 2 Episode 21, Spike adopted a phoenix that he named Peewee. Peewee came from the egg Spike refused to smash while participating in the hazing ritual routine Garble and his minions took him through.
Peewee didn’t die but he never showed up in another episode. Those pictures explained why in that Spike took the phoenix back to his parents.
Dude, I get the feeling you don’t fully know what this is from.
