I didn’t really get the impression that dragons have to deal with the dragon lord much, but I could be wrong.  
She’d probably keep doing her own thing, unless ordered otherwise.  
As for the ship, I don’t see why Ember would be all that romantically interested in Spike, especially at the moment. It could change in the future, but I don’t see it happening soon. She called him a ‘runt’ for a reason. She may not be an adult, but she’s clearly still in a different age category.  
I suppose that if Spike and Ember did somehow wind up together and Jade hasn’t gotten over her crush by that time, yeah, she’d be sad. I’m pretty sure that’s what your question was.
