One - there is no such thing as too much!
Two, is it hard to believe that straight shipping isn’t the norm? The only two male characters we saw with any regularity were Spike and Big Mac. Sandbar and Gallus came along in the next-to-last season and are quite younger than the adult cast. Yeah, you can pull out some background pony, but the better developed characters are naturally the ones who get shipped more. Twilight’s shared more with Rainbow or Starlight than Random Weather Team Member #3 or Generic Royal Guard #8.
