They never replaced Sunset with another pony.  
The EG movies are canon, but they will never be acknowledged directly in the main series. That’s been the arrangement (as directly stated by the writers) since the EG movies first came out, and it’s not going to change any time soon.

my point is the chances of the staff of developing flash in the show are 0, now that they themselves are calling into question the canonicity of eg, probably thats the reason he not appeared since season 4 (where he is tecnically a background pony)
 
hell, I would not be surprised if they replaced flash by another pony just like they did it with sunset

It’s more that he (pony Flash) has the potential to be awesome. Like Sombra, he’s mostly a blank slate for authors and artists to do with whatever they please.  
Human Flash, however, has some of those core features already filled in, and what’s there isn’t very appealing.

I understand that “pony Flash is better than EG Flash” in the same way that a blank piece of paper is better than that other piece of paper that have doodles written all over it.With Pony Flash,you can imagine the potential of story with a royal guard in a fantasy setting like Equestria (What did he do before that ? Did he do mission in changeling territory.Human Flash ? He play guitar and dress like a bad ersatz of The Fonz)Also EQG introduced Flash character so a lot of people soured on that.It was the first impression and it’s generally the first impression that count and what was that first impression ? Once again Ken from Barbie in a blander Monster High rip-off setting.Blame EQG for ruining Flash potential as a character (among other things like the fandom trust to DHX)

Im thinking the human flash probably should be back with sunset, now that she is the fan favorite, of course, with a good development in their relationship in the next movie… but nah… proably that will not work, and hasbro wouldn’t allow it

But until that happens, Flash is a blank slate. You may as well ship Twilight with a brick wall, or a door. (The way she keeps running into him, he might as well be one.)
 
Heck, I once read a story that shipped Twilight with her bedside nightstand, and that had more character and chemistry than FlashLight.
