it’s not even from an actual event in the shows timeline it’s just a collection of characters put together
Looking art someone does not man you’re in a relationship with them
bro do you even ship
That’s not what canon means. Looking art someone does not man you’re in a relationship with them.
Results after years: cute and canon.
She left during season 2
Meh, not Lauren Faust canon.
Lol. Lauren Faust have the final say, not you and not screenwriters of S6-8. Lauren Faust are God and the Creator of MLP-Fim. Her word is law. It is not discussed.
Just because it goes against your own personal headcanon does not make them stupid. They have the final say, not you. It’s their show, not yours. They made it, you didn’t.
if it’s not relevant to the plot and the characters don’t make reference to it it was most likely added in by storyboard artists
“I don’t like it so I’m going say the creators of their own show are stupid and [insert other insults here] - because I don’t like it.”
See’s @PUBLIQclopAccountant ‘s comment as it was constructive.
@northern haste
It’s a little of both. Screenwriters can put something they want to show but the storyboard artist can add something they want as well. I’m sure there’s more than those involved too.
There were two problems with that statement.
A. Not liking it does not make it non canon
B. the storyboard artist would be in charge of choosing which characters went in that scene
I can’t trust the writers to keep a coherent world-building, especially when anything in the past happens. IMO, MLP is a franchise where the writers were so inconsistent that it can’t meaningfully be said to have a coherent canon.
“older”
It’s cute how people still try to use that.
Yeah, it’s like shipping an older male with a prepubescent female at this point.
“Lauren Faust said that the true rainbow love dash is herself. explain that”
May I say that Lauren told in her very own Twitter that all the answers she gave to the bronies in the day were jokes? She literally said: “I was kidding”
Much better and logical, than relationship of officer and cadet Reason, why ship soarin-dash dead and totally loses this struggle in terms of logic.
He’s referring to groups like the sacred band of Thebes, who where all male lovers.
This was from a society that thought blatant nepotism and slavery was cool too, so keep that context in mind, since these things aren’t particularly conductive to a well run military or society.
The problems can be shown with few simple questions.
If a soldier is fucking his CO, will that CO treat him the same as the rest of the troops under that CO’s command?
Will that CO give that soldier as many dangerous and unpleasant tasks as the rest of the troops under that CO’s command?
How does the army insure that the soldier isn’t going along with that relationship to advance his own career?
How does the army insure that the soldier isn’t being pressured into that relationship to avoid pissing off the CO and thus hurting his own career?
The entire problem boils down to relationships with severely uneven distribution of power and how it affects the organisation they are a part off. Its pretty much like someone fucking their professor in college or their boss in an office. And that’s why no modern army would allow it.
You got any sources/examples of that? It actually sounds kinda interesting.
Edited
Depends entirely on how the military is structured; most modern militaries strictly prohibit such relationships, but the ancient world was full of armies and navies where it was actively encouraged to promote unit cohesion. Soldiers fight hard enough for their squadmates, it stands to reason they’d fight even harder if those squadmates are also lovers.
Wouldn’t a relationship between an officer and someone under their command be incredibly unethical?
