Wasn’t a fan of how Granny Smith behaved in the most recent Friends Forever. Yet more stunning was how Pinkie Pie took all that negativity and dismissed it as being just like her childhood.
Her family may be conservative, but I don’t think there’s any absence of love. Even as a joke, the comic struck me as dark.

Oh ya’know old folks fits and tantrum all that. My late granny was like that too, bless her soul.
Nah, but it might just about sum up her attitude for half the issue.
If Pinkie’s childhood wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, constantly reminding her of it would be a good way to bring Pinkamena out. I wouldn’t talk about it much :o
Pencil’s APA comic series seems pretty cheerful, so I have that as my current headcanon :D
