@Fwelin
Thereby proving the point that neither incident is really much of an issue. Nopony’s getting hurt in either shot; you can all put your pitchforks away.
@VNagato
You can literally die from being thrown dozens of feet too (and it’s far more likely, too), Rainbow didn’t know there was going to be hay for her to land on, and pegasi being superhumanly durable to falls would make them superhumanly durable to punches, as well.
@Fwelin
They’re wearing armor for the match, the spears don’t even have pointy tips, and for a pegasus, falling from a great height should be a norm, also she landed on hay and only seemed to be dizzied at best.
A real good punch to the stomach is actually dangerous, it can damage your organs, cause swelling and internal bleeding. YOU CAN LITERALLY DIE FROM IT
But uh yeah, getting the wind knocked out of is probably really painful, you’ll have trouble breathing for a little bit
@Background Pony #FD7A
Yes, because Fluttershy is mortally afraid of non-baby dragons. Fluttershy was scared out of her mind, and was no able to act rational because her fear of them is that strong. In addition, Rainbow was attempting to FORCE her to go regardless of her wishes. Blaming Fluttershy is like blaming the victim of punching back if someone tries to physically accost them and cause them harm.
Rainbow, in comparison, not only KNEW that Fluttershy can’t even come close to keeping up with her in athletics, but she was the one initiating the circumstance where Fluttershy got creamed, AND was also not mentally impaired by anything like Fluttershy was.
Also, lol at getting stomped being more painful than being hit by a spear and being thrown dozens of feet.
@Background Pony #FD7A
Doesn’t Fluttershy have a phobia of dragons? Getting freaked out and not wanting to go is reasonable, and it looked more like RD was gonna force her into it than just “ask a favor”. Watch the first part of Dragon Quest again, RD was literally dragging Fluttershy and trying to force her out of her house. It’s all in good nature, they don’t want her to miss out on such an event (or at least that’s what Twilight says), but no still means no. Sure, Dash doesn’t deserve that gut stomp, but she really was pushing Fluttershy to her limits and if Fluttershy didn’t do that, they’d probably (at least RD) would have forced her anyway.
As for the joust demonstration, it’s like sport, it’s totally justifiable for someone like Rainbow to go all out. As for why Fluttershy had to be the match up… That’s beyond me, but Fluttershy never got hurt and Rainbow did take pity on her.
@Gatito
People just getting upset because they see cute lil Fluttters getting kncoked about just a bit by Rainbow in a game and taking it all too seriously because they can’t stand seeing Flutters ‘hurt’
@Fwelin
“Overwhelmed”? Seriously? By Rainbow Dash asking a favour from Fluttershy to go to the dragon migration after Rainbow Dash went to the butterfly migration with her (something she didn’t want to do)?
But yeah, they were different I suppose; one has Fluttershy not doing Rainbow Dash a favour, pushing her out the way, unnecessarily stomping on her gut and not even caring if she was OK after… In the other they were providing entertainment for the crystal empire, with them having an equal opportunity gain the upper hand and win against each other, with Fluttershy bottling it and getting hit (and wasn’t as painful as getting pushed hard on the floor and then being stomped on in the gut), and then Rainbow Dash saying she would go easier on her in the next round…
@Background Pony #FD7A
I’m not exactly one who likes Fluttershy more than Rainbow, but the situations are completely different. Fluttershy wasn’t in her right mind due to being overwhelmed with her fight or flight instinct, while Rainbow just straight up sent her friend flying with a weapon.
@Background Pony #FD7A
Ha! From the looks of it, Rainbow Dash had is much worse than Fluttershy there. She cleary showed pain after that stomp in the gut and yet, after that jousting scene, Fluttershy came out unharmed…
@Lucky Shot
Yea, maybe some people likes this autistic recluse, that have absolutely no purpose nor help to anyone. Just a leech on her friends necks.
I can play this game too, you know.
@Lucky Shot
I fail to see where Rainbow Dash is betraying her element… Besides, this was an actual sport that they had to play for entertainment and distraction for the crystal ponies. Plus, Dash did promise to tone down a bit in the next round after seeing Fluttershy being very uncomfortable about the sport…
@Lucky Shot
Gee, that’s not an overreaction at all. I guess this is one of the many scenes that’s just far too dark to be in a kids cartoon by your standards, huh?
