You’re saying more than eight years have passed between their first appearance (“Friendship is Magic Part 1”) and their most recent appearance (“The Mane Attraction”), yet they’re still the same size. Children normally grow a lot over the course of eight years. Heck, it strains credibility for them to have not visibly grown over the course of one and a half years, which is pretty much the absolute minimum of time that’s been depicted in the series so far.
Or am I taking something you said out of context this time, too?
You keep taking everything I say out of context. It’s impossible to argue with such a person. I never said they were adults, I said they appeared to be older, meaning older than they once were, not that they were adults. Though I guess they might technically be considered adults since they have their cutie marks now, I can’t rightly say how it works in their world. Regardless they are still very much, to our knowledge, children who still have more growing to do.
Actually, there is reliable information on the age that Apple Bloom was targeted to be when they were looking for voice actresses. You can find her audition script posted here.
So the CMC are midgets. Got it.
There’s no straight forward information about how old the cmc were or are, but if you ask me they certainly seem like they’ve aged quite a bit. Also far more people do that than you think, not every teenager/adult is all business no play. Playing bongos on your belly, if you have a belly, is pretty much something everyone does in their lifetime. Action figures shouldn’t even be needed to be explained. And if you’re in your own home and had a plush you cared for, and likely slept with, then it’s not hard to believe you’d probably wake up and carry your stuff with you to get something quick to eat.
Apple Bloom was supposed to be around 7 years-old in the first season.
If you’re going to insist on season 1 characters, how about the Cutie Mark Crusaders? How old were they then, and how old are they now?
For that matter, what sort of teenager/adult puts “play bongos on my belly” on his to-do list, carries a plush doll of his unrequited crush to breakfast, and unironically plays with action figures?
the cake twins weren’t born in the first season. Other than the first season and the last season there’s no telling exactly how long each season is or when it takes place.
And yet the Cake twins are still infants.
Yeah, they seemed to stop calling him a ‘baby dragon’ after season 1 ended. This kinda reminds me of when I tried explaining that 8 years had passed between the beginning of the first season and the apple family reunion of the fifth season because 100 moons equals 8 2/3 years.
It was definitely more than once, but most of the uses of “baby dragon” were in season 1.

If you two can’t understand the difference between characters who’ve been repeatedly stated/shown to be 10 years old and a character who, to my knowledge has only ever once been referred to as a ‘baby dragon’ and has been shown to be, not only almost as old as Twilight herself, but almost as mature as her as well, then arguing with you is pointless because you refuse to see anything other than what you want.
so, I guees pokemon main characters are all adults
Yeah, and Mac from Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends is an adult too, I don’t see why anyone would think differently.
Not only did I get what the refrance, I even know who is speaking.
I wish those two had lived long enough to be exposed to human culture. There’s a lot of weird crap we do that they’d have enjoyed.
Despite having been referred to be a ‘baby dragon’ of which I can only remember one instance in the entire show, he’s been shown to be nearly as old as Twilight and just as capable of making his own decisions on matters. He’s not a child by anyone’s standards so people need to stop using that excuse.
Edited
Eh, regardless of how sloppily handled her heel/face turn was, she was pretty good in “The Crystalling”; I’m willing to see if they continue to develop her into an interesting character.
@Ping_chan
it’s a reference to homestuck
Is that Morse code or something?
I don’t get the reference, and I’ve had 4 cookies today already.
