Yes, and the spider wasn’t hit by a exactly the rock, but the air before the rock, only when the rock met the ground behind the spider the kinetic forces were redistributed to a large explosion. unlike when hit by a deforming object like bullet, the rock just passed through the spider in a linear fashion only sucking some of its entrails and blood out with the collapsing vacuum behind it.

Well, this might give a rough idea of what happens when you throw something at such ridiculous speeds, tl;dr: you have more than just the projectile to worry about.

A spider has a hard exoskeleton, the inside and of course the joints are kind of soft.  
Once Anon pierced it with the stone, the kinetic energy that spread through its inner body liquified it and only the hard exoskeleton remained, that is falling apart in the second panel.

So much for that magnesium sulfate deposit.
