These are pretty funny but not because of the Flash Sentry hate. People know that there is nothing they can do to get rid of this canon ship so they have to make up their fantasies about things that will never happen to make them feel better.

Given the angle of the shot, it would damage more than a frontal lobotomy, especially from a sniper rifle which is usually meant to pierce. It woould likely go through the head and, aside from likely damage to the eyes and bloodloss (and that even if it managed to not destroy the , would likely damage the Corpus Callosum, damaging his ability to function in the world as his ability to properly process what he sees would be damaged. not to mention damage to the cerebellum, which would impede motor functions.

There’s little to no brain damage to him that way; it’d be like a partial right frontal lobotomy at worst (unless Spike got lucky and brain swelling did him in) and probably not even that. I don’t see much likelihood of brain damage from that trajectory. It won’t render him a vegetable, just ugly. Now remember, she’s a horse. He’s already a deformed monkey to her and she’s still interested. So assuming he survives, if anything his “mysterious accident” right in front of her would increase her guilt if she left him then, and just increase his chance of pity sex.

Spike, you perennial butt-monkey, that was an amateurish shot with a significant chance of survival. From that angle, your round would go under the brainpan and through the optic nerve and sinuses, not through any truly vital spot. You’d maim him and blind him on the right side, and yes it might kill him, but it’s hardly guaranteed. You’re not going to be able to get a good brainstem shot with him in that position so you have a choice: wait if/until he turns to kiss her, then go for a side shot through the base of the skull; or if you don’t want to wait and risk losing the shot altogether, aim just above the front half of the ear.
