thankfully sai sorta “unloads” the images you’re not looking at
if you open a couple large images, open task manager and switch between them, you see the RAM jump up and down based on the differing sizes of the images.
of course it’s still not a good idea to have tons of images open, cus there’s shit like undo history for each image that has to be remembered.
