Missing one key thing here, which I’ll sum up in three words.

LITTLE. KIDS. SHOW.

Now, if you don’t mind, I’m unsubbing. Arguments like this have never been good for my mental health, and it’s not about to simply because we disagree on just how far to take this particular order for Suspended Disbelief.

Yes, I’m surprised it was THAT easy to reform Starlight, maybe Twilight got lucky and hit that one right nerve that managed to make it possible with Starlight’s mindset. I don’t fucking care, and the fact that you’re this vehement in your caring is exactly why, despite ALL of the perks, such as the epic fan works or memes or even a watchable MLP show, why Lauren made a MISTAKE in writing the show so that adults could enjoy it too.

Thank you, and good fucking night.

So in your opinion if a murderer who attempted to kill a president along with half the country in an attempt to get control says that he realized his mistakes, he should be left unpunished and allowed to join the senate?

I don’t believe even for a second in these transformations, I am not a child and therefore know stuff just doesn’t work like that. If a person was obsessed with ruining the life of another individual and the way the entire world works over something as childish as losing a friend (which was solely her own fault too), then they just can’t straight-up change and reform in under 2 minutes. The fact that not only was she left unpunished, but actually rewarded makes it all that much worse. You can say that she is reformed all you want but I say I don’t believe it and think she should be exiled or executed for her crimes against Equestria and the rest of the world. The only thing one could say in her defense is that she isn’t mentally sane and needs psychological help, but with the way she acts, I bet she would have to spend the rest of her life in mental institutions under close supervision.

Here, have some logic on Sunset. Too bad they didn’t delve into how overpowered and OOC she was in the episode compared to her first appearance just few months prior.

True! Though I do think it was more related to her destiny (as in even her name hints at it) and her friendship studies or role as an element rather than the spell… Wasn’t the spell intended as a final test or something? I don’t really remember by this point. Though to be honest, I never liked alicorn Twilight or any other alicorns and would very much prefer that Magical Mystery Cure never happened… it kind of ruined her character for me.

Don’t you think that then Equestria would have 90% of ponies as Alicorns if all it took is to realize your own mistakes? Even Mane6 on their own has ALL made mistakes and realized that what they did was wrong during the Rainbow Powers season… I don’t see them all turned into alicorns yet.

Also, Starlight didn’t dedicate anything, she was just OP as hell. During the first fight all she could do was that one trick with stealing cutie marks and a magic beam spell for which she studied for years. She lost pathetically and was nowhere near as strong as Twi. Then writers decided to make her OP and she somehow gained power, invented/improved time travel (with who knows which methods, knowledge and access), learned to fly with no wings and combat on the same level of an alicorn and element of magic itself (she even had time to mock her during the fight)! Not to mention that during all of this she had enough free time to gain crucial intel on Twilight. Now factor in that all this power, knowledge and confidence came to her in a period of several months and you get a character that is overpowered to the point when writers are not even trying to excuse it any longer…

Plus if you ask me, her motivations just show how retarded she truly is. Oh, and then she just up and ‘changed’ in under two minutes and got accepted just because of how awful her childhood story was. IMO, she is the worst villain there ever was, even Sombra was better!

wow…. someone is mad over a character XD she is actually my fav villain because of her dedication to focus the rest of her life to make twilight miserable. also it makes sense if you think about it. everyones reaction is different on loosing a friend or if something bad happens. one of the reasons why someone might become an alicorn is because they understood they did something wrong and got led to the right path and that path might leed them to become an alicorn

You mean an obsessed imbecile pony who is ready to sacrifice the entire universe just because her childhood friend abandoned her (and she herself decided not to pursuit new or old friends) becoming a princess with no reason or redeeming qualities/actions whatsoever?
