I totally agree with him. The only problem I have It’s just the way he explains it, “No one cares you’re a my little pony fan”. People can care, just not EVERYONE around you cares. I’m a Huge brony and I only explain why I watch the show is when my brother and my other friends catch me watching it or I have a wallpaper of ponies on my iPhone or my desktop. So he’s right, just not (I’M BETTER THAN YOU) right. My god did I just nerd out about the situation?
All right, fair enough, I suppose his opinion is as relevant as anyone’s. But again, since I’m not one of the crazy fans, I don’t feel compelled to watch the video.
Why the fuck am I seeing people say: “I don’t know who this is, his opinion doesn’t count.” People who say that are just contributing to making us look bad. Seriously, just give him a chance, isn’t that how you make friends? Giving someone you don’t know a chance?
Oh and, @gg666
I think what that other background pony means is that he is a part of many things on YouTube. You really shouldn’t have rated his fame by one vid.
He’s talking about the people that keep bugging someone like him(with a web show) what they think of MLP(to the point that if not saying they like it the question keeps getting asked).
I’ve been a brony from the start, and I’ve never seen anyone openly get bashed for not liking MLP on anything but pony sites when a troll or hater appears.
@RIG
Depends on the community. If they’re really so anti-pony that they can’t get over that you have an avatar about it, then yeah, you’re setting yourself up for trolling. Most sites I go to don’t care about avatars and don’t care about pony as long as it’s contained within a megathread.
Question: since I’m not one of the crazy fans, and I have no idea who this bearded hipster is or why his opinion is relevant, should I even bother to watch the video?
@Background Pony
To be honest, this is the most level-headed, reasonable argument I’ve seen about this community in a long, long time. I wish more people were more like this guy, would certainly cause less problems.
Yeah, as he said, having a pony avatar in a place that wouldn’t respond well to it kind of does attract trolling.
