Oh, goody, it’s another example of the “You’re only disabled because you don’t want to be able-bodied well enough!” school of thought. Now, Scootaloo can hover, so this isn’t as bad as most cases, but is anyone else annoyed when a character in, say, a wheelchair is suddenly able to stand due to their willpower kicking in?
(Dr. Strangelove doesn’t count, that was an absurdist comedy.)
