Exactly. Rares needs to be worthy to wield Mjolnir.
i don’t think she could hold the thing. she’d have to steve rogers levels of awesome just to lift the thing off the ground..
|| Jane Foster || as Thor is…eh. She’s okay.
It’s the way that she could beat a villain who took down the avengers easily, while having little experience herself that bothered me about the comic. That and further issues only raise more questions about how she was able to even GET the hammer.
Now Rarity! Don’t know about you, but I’d love to see her screaming about “ART THOU NOT FEELING FABULOUS DARLING!?” as she puts a dress on someone.
Eric masterson was a unique case of merging with Thor when he first started and wasn’t treated as a separate character, just another alter-ego of Thor himself. He wasn’t his own character until he got his own series and started calling himself thunderstrike.
No one complained because he was still technically Thor and not some (then) unknown individual who showed up out of nowhere and proclaimed themselves Thor based on their ability to pick up Mjolnir
honestly….its getting fucking old….none of the original characters have their characterization or have been changed because of “diversity” Thor is not a title Thor is a person the fact they used a stupid reason such as nick fury whispering something in his ear causing him to be unworthy is stupid on a whole new level and alienated a shit-ton of fans because of it….and to make it worse he gives his name to femthor…it is no wonder that people are pissed!
personally i like what marvels doing. though i think it’s a bit early to make Kamala Khan an avenger
I actually like many of the ethinic heroes that recently popped up with my favorites being Robbie Reyes (Ghost Rider), Kamala Khan, Amedeus Cho (even if he’s been around for awhile), & Sam Alexander (Nova). My comment was more guided towards the whole “ Marvel is Tumblr” argument that people throw the new guys in.
but from what i’ve seen most people (including myself) like the character the of Kamala Khan who’s doing similar things in her book. except she fights a bird man clone of ben franklin but that’s just comics
And how often do such changes actually carry significance to make the character better and more memorable, and how often are they made just to appease certain demographics, I stand by the reasoning that if a character much be changed then it had better have the necessary elements such as good writing and character to carry the decision, otherwise we too often get a situation where the new version is used as a political mouthpiece and only exists to push a certain ideologue, and that creates real harm to the industry, especially for comics because you can’t sell a character based off ethnicity, it just doesn’t work.
such with the the new girl thor comic. not only do strip real thor of his power with a reason solely made up to usher in the women, not only do they forget that thor is thor and not a secret identity so having a new thor is kinda disrespectful to both thor and the lady since she and many other new ethnic superheros just getting hand me downs, but the biggest problem is that in these thor comics (as the example) it isn;t even close to remotely subtle about comic being about a female thor. it is as if the comic’s speech bubbles are literally the words “feminism” and “misogyny” spoken over and over using a thesaurus.
also they made up this new fem thor for the female readers to have as a character they want to read(that’s what they said), not bothering to ask if that’s what they asked for.
as far as i’ve seen, mind you. if anyone else has more info, please feel free.
why? legasey heros like ant-man change all the time so why not have someone of another ethnicity other then white be ant-man for a bit? and even the title of ms.marvel was at one point used a black woman.
Nobody likes having characters being forced into diversity quotas. I don’t personally care about characters ethnicity but I will agree with stan lee, if you want more diverse characters then feel free to make your own, don’t change existing characters because of your personal beliefs or ideologue.
why the fuck does it matter what their ethnicity matter to you? you care more about the character’s themselves rather than what shad their skin or with or not they have a dick between there legs. cus if any of them are anywhere near as good as Kamala Khan (the new ms.marvel) then sign me up.

Sorry need to fix the New Giant Man: He’s Asian not Hispanic.
Basically due to all of the new racial heroes popping up for diversity (Black Captain America, Muslim Ms. Marvel, Mexican Falcon, Hispanic Giant Man, Asian Hulk) & a rather controversial issue of Angela Queen of Hel that was tied to SJW nonsense people come to term that Marvel is basically appeasing Tumblr politics despite them not exactly forcing Steve Rogers to be gay & hit it up with Tony, Excluding all the white heroes because “White people are the devil”, & aren’t beating up cops to appease the radicals.
Heh, I called her Thority.
what are you talking about?
You’re assuming that tumblr didn’t just barge into marvel and start taking up the jobs of publishers, artists, and writers then fucked it up because all they can do with anything.
I miss those Thor puns of yesteryear.
