I like how everyone’s freaking out about her being an alicorn and I’m just sitting here silently having an existential crisis because I’m a millennial in my late 20s with pretty heavy asexua/aromantic tendencies that doesn’t want children even if I WAS in a position to make them happen, but there’s always that nagging scrap of FOMO dread in my mind saying that maybe I should turn straight and start a family before it’s too late, and this whole plot arc is jabbing at that and making me deeply aware of the passage of time.

I somehow doubt it. Both because she’s fictional and because an alicorn baby is probably uncontrollable.

I’m not wild about the character design, but I can’t imagine the little mutant taking away much screen time from other characters before she can even talk either. At worst, this is a detour for a couple episodes.

Honestly, I’m more surprised anyone would be surprised by the show taking this direction. Since season 2 finale’s Shining Armor and Cadence debut, almost anyone should have expected the show to tackle something like this eventually one way or another.
