You know, I came here cause I wanted to read this funny little comic again. Instead I got indoctrinated into a new religion. At least this one makes a bit of sense, unlike Baptists or Opraism.
@Helios_Five
Yeah, I can dig that, yo. Though he may have been arrogant, prickish, and more than a little anti-social, Charles still stuck to his guns whenever his honor was tested. For that, I have to give respect. He wasn’t a bad guy, just a jerk xD .
So a saint we shall make him!
Now, onto other matters. Considering it’s a religion now, I was wondering… where do we make the “Holy Land”? I was thinking Toledo, Ohio, out of respect for the one-and-only Maxwell Klinger (the man who wanted to leave the most, but stayed nonetheless).
On a side note, GO MUD HENS![Cheers enthusiastically]
Yeah always admired Charles for holding to his principles. He was a much more interesting and complex character than Frank with both good and bad. Perhaps the Saint of Being True To Yourself?
@Helios_Five
Yeah, I think I can see your side of things. The war itself was what Pierce really and truly hated. Frank was just hatred icing on an otherwise already very loathsome cake.
No worries, Charles was a prick, but his heart was in the right place. Don’t forget about how he stood up for that stuttering soldier and defended Margaret (which cost him his sought-after opportunity of returning to Tokyo).
Piecism could work. It also sounds like peace a lot which is certainly something he preferred. Pieceology sounds like something coming off Scientology a little much I think.
I think Frank only gets to be Judas. Satan would be war and suffering itself. Frank would just be one of it’s many faces.
Winchester gets to be on the good side though. A bit of a stuck up arrogant guy but he was still alright. That episode about him gifting to the orphanage was really touching.
@Joseph Raszagal
Hmm… What was the name of the doctor in their Groucho Marx-esque film? The one they made in response to the request for a propaganda film downplaying the severity of battlefield injury.
@Joseph Raszagal @Helios_Five
Hell, Hawkeye even kind of sounds like the sort of name they’d give a god in some pantheons. Hawkeyed Pierce, patron god of tricksters and healers. He whose tongue cuts into men like the sharpest steel yet caresses women like the finest silk.
I grew up on MAS*H. It did nothing to help my being the weird kid during my school days but I don’t regret it.
@Helios_Five
The man had a sarcastic response for absolutely anything. If I had the time to found my own religion, he would be the chief god to pray to.
