Why would they even need to ruin the environment? All of the advanced tech runs on magic! Heck, they were shown charging up their cider machine by themselves! Granted, they could need the resources to make the machines, but fire (ergo, trees) are not needed to melt metal.
 
The only thing I can think of that they would need wood for is building factories and a business shouldn’t have to many. I don’t think there really was a threat to Equestria in this timeline, not a genuine one anyway.

This is what happened in the ashlands timeline. Just an amusing thought.

And why would Iron Will, a motivational speaker, be listed as a villain? Only wrong he did was give bad advice, and he realized it at the end when Fluttershy peacefully refused to pay him.

None of them wanted to help Sombra or destroy the world.
 
But Sombra released them from their cells, so they played along to save their skins.  
The moment Sombra left, they turned on him and ran.

Oh, right, as for Iron Will, he did try to bust Fluttershy’s door down and threaten her to get his money. There are less brutish ways to go about that.
 
However, to IDW’s credit, Iron Will has misgivings once he realizes he’s unleashed Sombra, and is generally portrayed more as hotheaded and shortsighted than intentionally evil.

Of course, both of them reformed, which is great, but yeah; They were villains.

Trixie took over Ponyville. Yes, she was corrupted by the amulet, but she still had free will and - in fact - still shot at Rainbow Dash even after the amulet was removed. So at least some of that was genuinely her own volition.
 
Gilda was a thief. She stole apples from a vendor. It makes her an incredibly petty villain, but a villain nonetheless.

Uh…didn’t Gilda, Discord and Trixie turn good?

Well, Trixie could have become one of the most evil villains, what with that alicorn amulet. She was willing to harm ponies if they didn’t do what she said. How far was she from becoming a Tirek level threat, with even more evil to boot?
 
Gilda, Lightning dust, and Iron will are a bit questionable though.

Well, Flim and Flam both kinda are villains, if their future has anything to say about it. I mean, they bring up an industrial age, which is good, but it has all the pollution and environment-killing that comes with it.

Wish Tirek was included, but otherwise an epic picture :)

Well if Whitley somehow manages to solve all the plotlines regarding Umbrum, Sombra, Hope, smaller villains AND STILL introduce Discord, Trixie and Gilda into the story ALL in one isse, that would really look like a great accomplishment

If Chrysalis going to get Discord while Fluttershy is not, then I’m going to be slightly dissapointed and angry.
