it’s a theory that should make everybody okay about the outcome and why twi is fucking up. and in space travel scifi in general - which remains unexplored like this: a quantum space-time. when you travel back in time, your future disappears. you could kill anyone and change the future, but you will only go back to the future you altered, not the one you did not alter. in fact in this kind of situation, just go with
“Starlight traveled back in the past and will never appear here ever again. nothing will ever change for me.”
BUT going to the future is where things start to get amplified exponentially.
everytime twilight went back to the past, she created these chaotic worlds. stopping Rainbowdash from being the gauge boson of Magic would have just a little or no influence to the future, but fucking up with it like Twilight did…
okay i stop here because I’m gonna end up defending this communist horse abomination.
oh also, let’s keep using these ponies for another theory. when these two ponies leave their timeline for the past, they inevitably end into one where they do not belong.

I feel the exact same thing. Beautiful, and I feel I can definitely understand what’s going on in this multi-timeline chart. :)
She attempted to get Rainbow Dash to do the sonic rainboom in 2005 (the base year for the past that I’ll be using, as it’s roughly 10 years before 2015, the year these episodes aired), inadvertedly scaring her into not doing it, causing a bad 2015 where Nightmare Moon has destroyed everything, caysing her to want to go back to 2005 and stop Starlight from messing with everything, but ending up in progressively worse 2015s. The one I mentioned is the only one where she tried to intervene and save the timeline, even though if she succeeded, Rainbow Dash would know about a certain purple alicorn into her adult life, and for the first 3 seasons, would have to live with the knowledge that Twilight, her new best friend, is going to one day become an alicorn and go back and save everything. This of course, if she spills the beans at any point in the first 65 episodes, would’ve created a paradox! …and I just rambled, didn’t I?
and also this picture is beautiful
thanks, i like to make data into beautiful designs, even when it’s not scientifically accurate. I’m sure there’s at least one physicist who would agree with me:
haw.
@acdi33
Microsoft Paint. for the black and white gloomy one, Toshop.
@Gundlach
don’t overthink it. there’s a thread that’s been going batshit about it a few times on mulp. i won’t even approach it.
@Background Pony #696E
then stay on the world that isn’t destroyed yet. and don’t destroy it! (there should be some commonsense rules for time travelers.)
Oh, yeah, I totally knew that.
This makes a lot of sense. All possibilities can occur, only the progression of time is constant in a natural sense. Unless you go time-travel, whee.
BTW, just want to know, how did you make this? Just curious. c:
It’s beautiful. Makes a striking amount of sense.
You want to go back.
You want to go back to the world that was destroyed.
You cannot accept it.
thank you doctor!

well, we know how quantum stuff from the standard model operates, right? electrons and photons, for the basics.
but trying to apply this for spacetime is where things gets fun.
so yeah, a cloud with more or less quantities of “space time” or regions of an universe where things can happen, cluttered into areas like under a gravitational effect, and places with nothing at all, where the physical impossibilities exist.
if there’s time, something can exist. if there’s none, or not enough, things won’t be done so easily. but later until some “cloud” of events will take place. now the tricky stuff is to find a story that exploits or challenge this model, that’d be a real mindfuck but could be fun.
I meant it in a different definition of “time,” with an implicit “line” on the end. Suppose I could’ve phrased it better. Though I will note that events and their causes generally aren’t contemporaneous.
Well actually, they do, at the same time. It’s just that they decohere - each outcome happens in an identical branch-off reality. That’s the Many Worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics.
That’s racist. XD
Joke being Gazelles and Ibexes are different species. ^3^

yes it’s free time, but like, a few minutes of it, but it’s the idea of making something visual/graphic out of information. that’s my only motivation and i admit, i could have spent more time on it, especially for all the poning (i might find the source of these equine pixel critters) but at this point i should come up with my very own story.
Some people NEED this sort of information because they become obsessed with the idea of a TV show screwing something up with its logic.
It’s not just something for free time, it’s something some people literally feel like they NEED.
