The bit of dialog at the end suggested that while they don’t expect her to turn bad, they’re going to keep an eye on her as she’s too powerful. Implying she will live in Ponyville for the short term future.
But yeah, having her return to Stalliongrad to be its reformed mayor would also be a convenient way to avoid writing about her again too. Which I’d not really like but could work for a longer solution. The show is pushing on world building (good), and it needs a few regular characters that don’t require devoting a third of the episode to developing the first time, so having characters like Coco, or Sassy Saddles, etc. at various other locations could be useful too. Its just that there’s little reason for the Mane 6 to go back there unlike with Manehatten or Canterlot.
