@PonyPon
ok, maybe that part was a little of my headcannon, but Starlight still didn’t seem as evil as the other baddies like Tirek and Sombra. @Amethyst_Crystal
true, but we only have 22 minutes, and MLP isn’t an anime whose episode connect with one another.
@Amethyst_Crystal
Twilight learned how to talk to someone without excessive moralizing, so it actually worked this time.
So she defeated Starlight with the power of friendship.
Just as I expected, which is why I posted that quote from end of season 4.
I just wish the redemption wasn’t handled so badly.
The season finale writer did everything possible to make Starlight as disgusting and undeserving to the audience as possible, on top of all the crap she already did in the premier.
It’s a bitter pill to swallow, to give such an absolute 100% free ‘you’re our good friend now’ pass to such an evil bitch.
@Toxicpinkiepie
It makes sense that Starlight is ‘easier’ to win over with friendship for these reasons.
That doesn’t make her any less deserving of some time in Tartarus though.
Or at least, you know, a redemption that broke a new record in how fast it went.
@Amethyst_Crystal
There’s both actually talking to her, seeing her past firsthand, and showing that blasted wasteland to shake her beliefs. Then went for a good ol talk to get to her heart.
@Amethyst_Crystal
Twilight used reasoning, Starlight wasn’t out for “blood” like Tirek, nor was she really evil like Nightmare and Crystalis. She had a sad past, kinda like how 90% of all anime/comic book villains have. Twilight saw this and seen that she had some good in her heart, unlike Tirek or Sombra who were pure evil.
@Masem
mm, that is true, beside that just means more stories and episodes to watch. However, I wonder what it would turn out like Let’s hope Season six will be as good as this season.
@Amethyst_Crystal
the princess of friendship is very forgiving, and believes others can learn from their mistakes.
plus it’d be a waste of potential to lock starlight away with how powerful she is.
