I remember crying a bit during that arc. I’ve just seen so many addicts and, well, the story treated it like the big deal that it actually is.

Yeah they did a great job at portraying addiction right up there with books like cracked.
I do love how the story handles her addiction. It’s painted in a very realistic way. It doesn’t need to hammer it in with the whole “Drugs are bad” speech. Instead, it just shows what the Mint-als are doing to her.

She’d be more like that person who comes to your school and tells you about how bad drugs are and what their life was like when they were on them.

Nah It’s not a big deal to me it just surprises me everytime I see one I don’t expect it.
