I don’t actually know. I just wanted to point out that whether you can bump start an automatic transmission is not becomes totally irrelevant if the motor is a rotary/wankel engine. Mostly because those refuse to start due to flooding or being switched off too soon after starting (which also causes flooding)
(little trick I did with my one truck, I put a different neutral-safety switch on it (in all honesty, I moved a couple wires and re-grounded it), so it only started in neutral (clutch in or out too), trolled a bunch of friends that way, made it practically impossible to steal unless ya sat there and thought about it)
I’ve never driven a standard but I do know that they have great fuel efficiency potential when driven with pulsing and gliding, though that’s something which some jurisdictions consider illegal - but when it’s done properly it’s awesome.

Ever tried bump-starting a rotary engine? You can’t. Gotta take out the spark plugs and wait for the fuel to evaporate (or put a lighter to the open chambers and watch a bolt of fire erupt out).
@TheAntiCat
For me they wouldn’t…I know myself.
But whatever, both are fine, for all we know they could both be obsolete in five years when Google introduces mandatory self-driving CARl, the car OS.
