I know what G3.5 is the tag just seemed pointless.
It’s a joke reference to G3.5, which featured chibi//deformed versions of that generation’s character. Playskool Pony Friends also includes characters that were prominent in G3, like Minty and Bumblesweet, and the Rarity from this toyline also takes cues from her G3 self, such as the red streak in her hair.
All in all, Playskool Pony Friends seems it will be taking aspects from all over the franchise to create its own unique line and possible continuity.
