And now for the interpretation!:

I know I shouldn’t complain, but when you work as much as I, I’m sure I’d have some leniency. Farming is by no means easy. I had to wake up at 4:00am, feed the chicken and do other chores round the house. Then I went to plow the entire South field in the morning only to realize I plowed the wrong field! So! I had to plow the the North field! By the time I was done, it was supper time. It missed all of today because of my carelessness, and now I wouldn’t be able to relax with my girlfriend until tomorrow (if that’s a possibility).

I sighed as Applejack passed the potatoes to Granny Smith. Even when I was surrounded by family, I was still pretty bummed not to mention hurting. Note to self, ask Dashie for a back rub. I don’t know what it is, but Dashie has the best hands. I mean they are so magical! Whenever she touches me, I can feel all my pain vanish! Oh, just thinking about it makes me shiver in anticipation!

“Mac!” Applejack yelled. I looked up in surprise to see her staring at me worriedly. I was only thinking for a minute.

“Eeyup?” I ask.

“You alright?”

“Eeyup.” I can see her staring at me all analytical like. I ain’t got nothing to hide. I may be a little disappointed but I’ll live.

“That so.”

“Eeyup.” I can see her squint her eyes, her mouth muscles moving as she’s just about to say something. Course I didn’t hear any of it. For a matter of fact, no one did because there was this real loud banging at the door.

Before I get up, Applejack is out the dining room, so I guess she’s going to go handle it.

I was about to eat some more of my unappealing food. Not that the food here is terrible, but I just wasn’t into it. I really wanted to be with Dashie…

But the fates and those up there heard me because I hear Applejack tell me it’s her! And that she was waiting for me outside!

I couldn’t have run any faster in my life. The table got turned upside down, the food went flying, Granny Smith shouted out and Applebloom yelled but that didn’t matter. Dashie was here.

“Dashie!” I exhale as I approached the petite mare. She never did like it when I referred to her as such, but I was only speaking the truth. She’s the smallest of her friends, and cause I’m twice her size (although I feel like I’m thrice) she’s very small. But she’s beautiful. Very much so.

Applejack gets out of my way as I grab Dashie into my powerful arms. For a minute, I forgot about how powerful I was. I just wanted to hug her, so I did. I hoisted her up into my forelegs, pulled her towards my chest, and hugged her real. Apparently too hard, as I heard her squeak out “I can’t breathe” or “I can’t feel …” Something like that. She was muffled by my mass.

Once I apologize, I place her before me. I can’t help but take in her natural beauty as she beams up at me. Of course I know she won’t show affection to me until Applejack leaves. And I needed some affection. So I tell my sister to go, and after Applejack complains, she leaves. And I get a nuzzle and a tiny peck on the check. Ahhh, feels like heaven.

However, I can’t sit and soak up the elixir of drunken love, so I asked her why she was here. Did she need protection (even thought it’s unlikely), was she hurt, did somepony attack her? Who was it? I’ll—

“Well um…I was uh….I was wondering if, you know, maybe you would, umm,…if it was okay to….spend the…night here?” Dash asked. She looked very unsure of herself and incredibly embarrassed. I would know; poor mare looked at the ground instead of me, kept fidgeting, and had her cheeks all rosy red. In other words, she looked too adorable. Better save this image for later.

“Eeyup. Yer welcome ta stay at any time, darlin’” I tell her. Secretly, I wanted her to stay the night too. We could use this time as make-up time.

“Aw yeah! Sweet!…Err I mean yeah, cool, whatever.” Dash said. Did I forget to mention how adorable she is. She’s just too cute to be cool. Sorry Dash, I know it’s your thing, but cute is the new cool.

Our evening passed by so quickly. We ate vigorously, talked and chatted, and before we knew it, the evening paved way to the night. I was tired of course. Work was harsh, but Dashie was on the verge of sleepy town. I wanted her to stay awake, but I also knew how much she was in love with sleep.

So I cuddle with her. I let my beloved rest her head against my neck as she tried to protest against sleep. Her “I’m not yawn tired” statements were awfully cute. Too bad she was beyond exhausted.

She never made it past 10:30pm. I followed closely behind.

Inspiration for Poetry (I suck at it): Perfect

It was all perfect.
No loud noises,
No harsh winds,
No flaring temps.
It was all perfect.

My love beside me
radiating with a gentle glow.
Her eyes succumbing to sleep
yet her nature kept her ‘wake

I was cherished.
Not a simple farmhand,
but the lover of a wonderful mare.
My wife-to-be and future son’s mama.

It was all perfect,
so I asked and she said yes.
Content closed her eyes
and Love let sleep.

I lay beside her.
With perfect scenery
And a perfect mare.
It was all absolutely perfect.
