Detailed syntax guide

For a long time, I hated the Gurren Lagann ending. There were a lot of reasons. It seemed unnecessary. It contradicted the never say die theme of the show. And quite frankly I felt after all the suffering they went through Simon and Nia deserved to have a happy ending. But recently I think I discovered what the real reason was. I have suffered with depression for a very long time. If I endured what Simon did, I would either drink myself to death or just snap and fly into a psychotic rage. But the fact that Simon is able to remain optimistic and hopeful for the future even after losing Nia, it just doesn’t make sense to me. I realize it’s fiction but the very idea of someone being capable of that is so beyond my understanding that its infuriating to me.

At least Branpresto didn’t take Gainax’s bullshit and made Nia survive in SRW Z3 ending.

I’m personally of the opinion that Nia never died at all, and is trying to resist her body’s dependance on the Anti-Spirals. Maybe trying to override said dependance in some way.

Seriously, I kinda have a headcanon alternate ending for that series where Simon does restore Nia on their wedding day, then hands off the Core Drill to Gimmy and retires to live happily with Nia in relative obscurity.

Also Boota retains his ability to shapechange into his humanoid form because that was kinda cool.
