Who’s shadow lock?

Oh here again.  
Might as well put in my own ships for the girls since the new episodes and comics since then
 
Twilight I totally ship with Thunderlane. Especially now that he had a whole episode with his bro. Plus Spike, Rumble, and himself can so have a cook-off
 
Pinkie Pie is so hard to find someone for her to be with. Though I still ship her with Pokie Peirce
 
Rainbow Dash so gets with Quibble Pants. I honestly know that she totally gotta go fast!!!!!! but I can actually see her wanting to sit down and share a restful evening reading a good book with him.
 
Rarity gets…well…not sure with no-homo ships. If anyone can handle her it would most likely be Big Mac.
 
I pair Fluttershy with Shadow Lock. Shadow Lock was never a bad guy in the first place and from what you see of him he is a rather kind and caring person, a rather nice fit for the shy and lovable Fluttershy.
 
I still ship Applejack with Soarin’. I really cant see her with anyone else and many of the stories I read with them together are just too cute

I would rather ship Rainbow Dash with Party Favor. While Party would be a good party pony team with Pinkie Pie, Rainbow would like Party for almost the same reasons as she likes Pinkie, except that she likes Party as more than just a friend.

Well, that’s pretty much Ron and Hermione in a nutshell… and after a while J.K. Rowling said she regretted setting them up in the end because they’d have a lot of issues… just getting on each others nerves for various reasons.
 
That being said, my view is actually that Zephyr has the potential to stop being a source of exasperation to RD. By the end of Flutter Brutter he’s nipped his laziness in the bud and probably has a lot better self-esteem - which may or may not curtail his playful egotism and his disregard of Dash’s personal space and such. I think it’s the kind of thing a skilled writer could make work.
 
Of course, it’s also possible he’ll ditch the crush on RD, too. I believe he likes RD because she’s a successful, outgoing pony and somepony he looks up to - and it might even be that he isn’t actually crushing on her but he thinks he is due to liking her so much, or that it’s otherwise another symptom of his insecurity and low self-esteem.

Love it! Though don’t agree with some, but still love it!

We see things a bit differently, but I think we can at least agree that “source of exasperation” isn’t necessarily what you look for dating-wise.

Zephyr might work better than Trenderhoof did, because we can assume that Zephyr and Dash were childhood friends as much as she was with Fluttershy. We just didn’t see them in flashbacks because he was alaways few years younger than them. But fanfictions about them hanging out after classes or in the school cantina would be realistic. Not that i care much, out of Main 3 males she’s friends with I prefer her chemistry with either Quibble Pants or Soarin.

I interpreted most of that as him just teasing Dash - and partially as a venting of his own insecurity. Besides, he actually knows Dash rather than falling for her based on superficial impressions. Believe me, I can imagine him as much worse - so far as I can tell, he’s just insensitive, not deliberately malicious. Which is true of Trenderhoof as well, and I won’t deny Zephyr was being obnoxious, but he struck me as more a source of exasperation for Dash than anything else.

Zephyr is improving because he cannot possibly get worse. Trenderhoof definitely crossed a couple lines, but he certainly didn’t repeatedly and aggressively invade Applejack’s personal space or act like she was already head-over-heels for him the way Zephyr did to Dash. And he took no for an answer once somepony finally came right out and said it. Trenderhoof’s certainly not great, but Zephyr Breeze is much worse.

I don’t get the Dislestia meme. Discord implied many times that he want to go on a date with Fluttershy to the Gala and to the Beach and the writer said that their relationships is definetly not a mom relationship while also referencing comics(which canonise their development from there). Meanwhile Discord just make fun of Celestia and haven’t interacted with her since Return of Harmony. If making fun of a character mean romantic interest then TwilightxDiscord should have been canon 10 times now. Their shared toylines also imply future romantic development.

Pinkie x Party - I have no idea who this stallion is. Besides, I basically never ship Pinkie with anyone since I don’t think she’d be much for having a “significant other” who’s more significant than her friends. I also tend to headcanon that she doesn’t really “get” romantic relationships - she knows they exist and what other ponies are like when in them, but doesn’t feel that way about ponies herself.
 
Twilight x Flash - Eh, I’ve always thought of this as just sort of a superficial crush. Not impossible, but I ship Twi with at least 3 stallions already.
 
Spike x Rarity - Still not sure how to feel about this. It’s pretty obvious she doesn’t feel that way about him and I’m not sure time will change.
 
Fluttershy x Discord - Don’t really see Discord as being romantically involved with any pony except maybe Celestia, certainly not his first friend.
 
Dash x Thunderlane - Thunderlane has almost no lines or non-BG screen time so he falls into the category of “stallion who’s whoever the writer/artist wants him to be.” Soarin and even Spitfire used to fall into that category too, although they’ve had development since then. That being said, I am a bit biased as RD is waifu status as far as I’m concerned. <.< I am capable of supporting ships with waifus if I find they make sense and are adorable (like a couple fanships with Luna), but none of RD’s popular ships do it for me.
 
Applejack x Tenderhoof - Applejack and a stalker who seems to see an earth pony mare rather than a person, so to speak? Nope.

I can only see Pinkie with Cheese, Discord with Fluttershy and Spike with Ember. Other ships has either too little development or in Dash case, are too scattered, like she has as much development with Soarin, Quibble Pants and Zephyr Breeze.
