I love how everyone keeps saying you need a pokeball when that’s only likely true. What you need is a copy of whatever pokeball you caught the nincada in. 9 times out of 10 that’ll be a pokeball and most of the rest of the time you’ll have extra nest/net/repeat/great ball you probably used instead with you.

Ok, is Menapink intended to look eviscerated? Looks like she hasn’t eaten in forever.

Yep. Every level it checks, and if there are five other Pokemon/Ponymon, it evolves, and if not, it doesn’t.
 
The only exception I can think of is odd evolutions like Shedinja. If your Nincada evolves at level 20 and you DON’T have both an empty slot in your party and at least one Pokeball in your backpack, then Shedinja simply doesn’t appear and all you’ll have is your Ninjask (evolved Nincada).

Also, since there aren’t any dark/fairy types yet:  
=Immune to Psychic AND Dragon  
+Resistant to Ghost (1/2), Especially resistant to Dark (1/4)  
*Neutrally effected by Fighting and Bug  
-2x Weak to Poison, Steel and Fairy

Same thing that happens with Inkay if you never hold the game upside-down after it levels up. It just remains unevolved.

It just doesn’t evolve until either of those criteria are satisfied, just like any real Pokemon

Probably you miss the evolution.
 
Also: who in their right mind would frost a cupcake with their flank!

My first guess would be it doesn’t evolve.

What if it reaches 36 with like half a team?
