Speaking of Sonic 3D…that animated intro before the title screen was pretty danged impressive for the Genesis to handle.

True, though some did use the password feature. (Like Ecco.) Only one I can think of with an actual save feature was Sonic 3.

Luckily some of the remakes have said feature added. (Like the 3DS ones I mentioned.)

Unfortunately, the Genesis didn’t have very many games that used a save feature.

I beat it without the code too actually. (And got the final level too, and all emeralds.) A lot of Sonic fans hated it, but I actually liked it. My only beef with the game is, it could’ve used a save feature, or password continue system sense it takes so long to play. (Though, the Virtual Console version has the suspend save feature.)

Wouldn’t mind an M2 3DS remake of it. (They recently rereleased “3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2” for the 3DS Eshop. As well as “3D Gunstar Heroes,” and “3D Streets of Rage 2.”)

Dang…I’m actually pretty envious of you, I never could beat that without the code. >< Nice job though!

Well…I did beat Sonic 3D Blast in Sonic Mega Collection…that is, I got every Chaos Emerald and I beat the Final Fight, from start to finish. Didn’t even use the level select cheat code!

Dude, if this particular game’s getting you torn up thinking about it, maybe you could…talk about a game that makes you happy, instead? I know for a fact that you were a huge Sonic fan when you were little, and you once said you geeked out when you saw a Sonic amiibo at…I forget what store it was, so what’s your favorite Sonic the Hedgehog title? Just a suggestion.

Not to mention about halfway through the game, the story got really heartwrenching for me. Let me count the ways:

  1. Pit’s soul got separated from his body and put into a ring, so while his soulless body went on slaughtering humans, what if Magnus DIDN’T put the ring on? That alone gives nightmarish implications.

  2. Palutena gets possessed by the Chaos Kin, so the motherly figure turns hostile towards Pit, and he can’t even return home thanks to the shield (the fact that Viridi slams him into the shield for laughs didn’t help, either).

  3. Defeating the Chaos Kin resulted in the creature stealing Palutena’s soul and turning her to stone, and almost came close to escaping forever if not for Dark Pit’s intervention.

  4. Pit sacrifices himself to rescue Dark Pit, burning his wings to the bone and dying.

  5. The Three Sacred Treasures, which helped Pit defeat Medusa in the 1980s and in the first half of the game, were destroyed by Hades and then Pit gets devoured.

    I’m practically in tears remembering these events. :’(

Wait, no, Uprising isn’t a reboot. It’s a sequel. The characters even say it’s been 25 years.

Eh, I’ve been raised on “God of War” for so long, I was hoping “Uprising” would be dark and serious…the only time I accept humor and goofiness in a Greek setting is if it’s handled by Disney or Mr. Peabody & Sherman, since I’m watching them as opposed to getting major hand cramps (and a Circle Pad with the rubber torn off and a gigantic smudge on the touch screen where I’ve been drawing).

Oh, and what’s-his-name (Pac-Man’s creator, I cannot spell Japanese names) actually DOES appear in the movie in a non-speaking cameo near the beginning. The one that DOES speak, however, isn’t actually him, but another Asian actor.

I understand Adam Sandler’s humor & silliness isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I actually genuinely enjoyed some of his movies, so I find the Sandler-hate a li’l trendy/annoying. I mostly liked his older ones like “Happy Gilmore,” “Billy Madison,” “Waterboy,” and such. (I even liked his animated holiday movie ““Eight Crazy Nights”)
I think Adam Sandler is just one of those things that’s become trendy for every critic to hate. (Much like how many game critics love to hate on Sonic whether he makes a good game, or not.)

As for “Pixels,” I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot, and obviously the movie isn’t meant to be taken seriously. The Japanese creator of Pac Man was a good sport about being kinda spoofed in the movie too.

@HighRollerHydra
“Kid Icarus” has always been kinda silly/humorous actually if you look at the original NES & Gameboy games. Some of the enemies, and stuff in the games are rather goofy, (Eggplant Wizard anyone?) so it makes sense that even the new 3DS reboot game would be a li’l comical too.

Well, Humans can be pretty nasty, and they do often more harm to the enviroment without a care as a whole and without pity. Overhunt and drive thousands of species of plants and animals to extinction all in the name of progress. We abuse our resources and take more than we give back.

Yeah, as she is essentially Gaea, the spirit of the earth itself, it’s CREATOR and PROTECTOR, wouldn’t you too want to wipe out an infestation if you saw it wrecking havoc on the very system you put in place? She’s got all rights to be miffed. Hating her is basically hating our planet.

But, like Pip said. She may have a strong point, but wiping out all humans isn’t the answer. And it’s up to each and every one of us to start caring more and being less the “Well, they aren’t recycling or caring where they dump their trash, and who cares if we stand thousands of gallons of fresh water on private lawns each day” and just try to live by example, try to care more for our surrounding.

In short, Viridi would look at us here and now and all I can say is to use those reset bombs on a smaller scale and send them at the ones doing the most harm. xD

War and Violence and intolerance is all we ever seem to spread if you believe the media. But we aren’t animals. We just stupidly allow heartless corporations and shadow governments to do as they wish.

To add on to this, there’s two separate types of tsundere.

The first, called a “classic tsundere” refers to a character with a specific evolution of characterization. This type of character starts off closed off in the story, and over time, gradually starts to open up and express their emotions more freely. An FIM example would perhaps be Gilda, with her starting off brash and insulting, but gradually softening up in The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone (though it’s not a perfect match).

The second, called a “modern tsundere” refers to a state of a character (and is usually what people refer to when they talk about tsunderes these days). This type of character swaps between closed off and expressing their emotions on a normal basis, often quite rapidly. An FIM example would be Diamond Tiara in middle part of the recent episode, with her rapidly swapping between insulting (to hide her insecurities) and her explicit sadness.

Next time a girl tells me “we’re just friends” while blushing, I’ll just casually say I’m dating someone else.
Telaros

@HighRollerHydra
Being tsundere isn’t about beating up people and is certainly not gender specific. What you see is just an overused joke and even then it doesn’t mean the girl who hit the guy is actually a tsun.

A person who hides their feelings and always seems to say one thing when they mean another, particularly when talking about or to someone they feel affection towards, even if they don’t understand the feelings they might have for them, is what generally defines a tsundere. Like playing hard to get or not wanting others to see your softer side. There’s a lot of tsunderes out there, including a decent amount of male characters.

She didn’t even apologize for her actions at the end…she went back to saying humans should be killed. It’s why I never played the “Reset Bomb Forest” (unless it’s in Omega form, and with the alternate “Dark Pit’s Theme” playing) in Smash Bros. 3DS, and I never, EVER activated “Palutena’s Guidance” on the “Palutena’s Temple” stage on the Wii U. Also, the only songs that I have maxed out in My Music for that stage is “Dark Pit’s Theme” and “Weyard”.
Telaros

@HighRollerHydra
The english translation added a lot more comedy and reduced the amount of tsundere a pinch. The humor is slightly different in each version.

Actually, I don’t understand the bloated amount of humor. It’s supposed to take place in Greek mythology, yet they mention things like the internet, video games, television, food that shouldn’t be made for a few centuries…I should mention I didn’t laugh even once, I was more frustrated with the controls, and the fact that the characters kept distracting me and getting me killed numerous times didn’t help either.

is it so you’ll be able to differentiate yourself from the amiibo when you play as those characters?
