GOG was also attacked recently.

Pretty soon, they might cave into deleting games that those are “outraged” over, because with apologizing due to outrage comes control. And I doubt any of them actually purchased from GOG.

Sad part is, PushingUpRoses was apart of that, I guess anyone can succumb to the endorphin rush of signaling Virtue.

So Gab.ai recently purged lolicon from their platform…
Now before you cry CENSORSHIP. First of all, yes, it is censorship, and I’m on the fence about this due to the fictional nature of the contents. But look at it this way, lolicon is CRIMINALIZED in many parts of the world, and as a business that aspires to operate on the international market, they simply couldn’t and wouldn’t fight tooth to nail over the laws of various countries. Nor do they have the resource to do so.

If feel more he’s pushing his moralizing onto his platform. So he just comes across more like Ole Jack.

His words paint it in a narrative to gain support, like with most from that Area of the country.

We’ve seen in some case people pimping their children and having them dance on stages in drag, so it feels hypocrical he attacks art where there is no victim while that those incidences go on.

It’s like when people attack Furries for drawing porn saying it’s Bestiality; It’s not.

I’ve also seen of late People decrying depictions in the Japanese art style, but will in their words “Abuse and fetishizing” young female characters from western shows and games.

Like it or not. Being accused of “distributing CP” carries far more weight than being accused of “hate speech”. I guess he’s trying to avoid a greater PR nightmare. They are a business after all. And CP is universally seen as a demoralizing thing, for the right reasons. hough if only society can make a definitive split between the real stuff and the fictional. Personally I do not think anything completely within the realm of fiction should be censored to adults. Mind you, lolicon ain’t my cup of tea. I personally find the stuff…. rather sick.

You can’t say you’re for free speech and then censor something out of moral reasons, if he said “Look, I get it, but it’s illegal in basically half the countries our servers are in”, then that would’ve been fine.

I can’t say it better myself so here is the full:

If Torba had said exactly what he’s been saying for the past 2 years, which is along the lines of “It’s a legal grey area and we don’t want to risk it, especially since we are being targeted by everyone looking for an excuse to take us down”, nothing would have happened.

But then he decided to personally attack his detractors and, more importantly, started using the same “freedom of association” defense that everyone who banned/deplatformed them or their users used. The second you pull that defense, you lose the right to complain when anybody else censors you. ESPECIALLY if you are the self proclaimed “Home Of Free Speech Online”.

He was willing to fight to the bitter end to defend a photograph of a dead woman on the hood of a car, complete with unflattering caption, and only gave in when he was threatened with his whole site being shut down. Why the extreme tone shift here? It’s almost as if, just like the left, they only support free speech when it’s speech they support… And that’s telling.

Like mentioned, he lost his ability to say he’s being censored, by the way he acted.

He essentially made himself a hypocrite, and I wouldn’t be surprised how many using Gab are asking “Well, what’s next?”

Then people would accuse them of being covertly apologetic towards CP. I imagine they had to come up with something quick and make a bold statement that they thought would convince they disavow such things.

But you’re right; A lot of the known ones ham-fist their political views into anything. Entertainment can’t be entertainment anymore. It has to push a message, and they must approve of it.

Much like with the Cruchyroll garbage anime. They spoke more about “diversity” then the show, seeing it’s just a Bootleg little witch Academia webcomic made into a animated cartoon, and when you look into the group associated with it (WIA: Women in Animation) have essentially taken money from women trying to get into animation only to benefit a select few; And are then told to pretty much fuck off when questioning the “high council” for why they’re not receiving any help that they paid a premium for.

It’s all slimy nepotism. The journos will praise, and may doop others into buying into this Ponzi scheme. Using anything as a shield against what they’re doing. We all know the slurs.

This is some pretty devastating info for Waid. Declares himself the defender of women and minorities, and what’s he do? Bully them and anyone else in his way.

He’s has a history of doing what he did to Anarchic press. He’s toast and so many will be vindicated. There’s no way a jury will find this guy innocent. I say they should have her Testify to Waid’s “character”.

Urgh, it seems people misunderstood what the difference between mobile, PC and console is.

It’s not about the specs or the software. Hell, I barely give a shit about either when choosing a platform. The biggest difference between these platforms is gameplay.

It’s like playing an FPS in the three platforms. They all have the same weapons, design and scenarios but each are controlled differently. A PC would be best in playing FPS because of the mouse and keyboard being separate things, one for moving and the other for shooting. A controller on a console makes it more difficult due to the limited buttons, since you give up 4 fingers to hold the controller itself. And let’s not fucking get into mobile, where the controls take up the fucking screen.

Some games work in all platforms. Most however don’t. Diablo, funnily enough, can have working controls in mobile, but mobile is also not the main target audience. Nobody fucking plays these story-based games on mobile. Mobile games are designed with fast-paced, short-term gameplay in mind. 5-10 minutes per play on average.

God, you’d think a bunch of developers know this.
