Wasn’t planning to, but due to G5’s end, I’ve decided to buy both games on Switch. I got Maretime Adventures on Amazon, and pick up Zephyrheights Mysteries on Best Buy. They were at a good price over there.

I saw that leaked episode, and I personally liked it. A hair styling competition where everyone is on friendly terms with one another, I like some good sportsmanship like that.

It has happened! The first meeting between the predecessor and the successor! Although it was actually a computer-simulated Rainbow Dash, she had chosen a much better place than the Weather Factory - perhaps the very place she valued most - to leave her digital “guide” clone for posterity. Zipp finally learned what she needed to know.

And at the end, a personal message from Rainbow Dash to Zipp Storm.

“Whoever You are, it’s your turn to be awesome, okay?”

This message appears to have been recorded during Opaline’s first attack after the Unity Crystals were created. We know the worst didn’t happen - but it’s clear she had a feeling the magic will wear off sooner or later… because Opaline was still out there.

And a sad message:

“The past and present crew of the G5 MLP comics would like to say thank you for the past 3 years, and for reminding us again that truly, friendship is magic.”

If this is the “villain” that we’re supposed to be getting, he looks like Kronk. And even then Kronk is just not bright at best. But in a way. First in MLP history, not white knight villains like the Knights of Harmony/Order, we got an anti-villain. A designated villain that doesn’t act like one.

Oh yeah, the comic.

Wasn’t in love with the first two issues, but I liked this last one. I think the art was more on-point, for one.
RD’s final log doesn’t really gel with our understanding of how Twilight sealed the magic, but I’ve long since stopped trying to apply a single continuity to each medium.
Sunny’s spontaneous Smoothie shop building is funny, the climax had good moments, heartfelt ending (even if we’re still getting some more comics eventually).

A good enough wrap-up of RD’s legacy arc. Until they touch Pinkie and Twilight’s next.

the show made it seem like she only changed the source of magic.
The stained glass window We saw at the movie Suggest that crystal was still giving magic even when separated.
Spike was even surprised to find out magic was ever gone.

The show bible corroborates all of that, since we know magic didn’t actually go away until long after Rainbow Dash passed.

I like to think she was just being an idiot and only found out like 3 seconds after she recorded it.
