And this is why I use my keyboard through foil:
To this day, the keyboard itself remains fairly clean and in good shape, minus two keys I removed because they were annoying me.
The foil itself however… well, you can see for yourself.
Alright, alright, calm down! Here.

NEEEEEEERDS
NEEEEEEEEERDS
Somehow, by seemingly pure coincidence, every single USB keyboard I’ve ever owned has been a membrane one.
Mechanical keyboards are the best. One of the reasons I chose my Hewlett-Packard over a MacBook Pro was because it came with a trusty mechanical keyboard, as opposed to a flimsy membrane one.
True, I’ve been through a few keyboards, each with their own problems, either because a fault or uncomfortable to use (I prefer the ones that don’t require much effort to push down, but have clear touch feedback, preferably wider flatter keys, and aren’t too loud when typing quickly). sure it’s an inconvenience learning how to type on a new keyboard, but you adjust.
Or if Twilight was a mechanical keyboard aficionado.
I had a keyboard for 8 years, it was fantastic. Then i spilled something on it that completely wrecked the goddamn thing. Like, pressing one key would press all surrounding keys too.
That happened a year ago. I’ve since went through FIVE keyboards, and I have nitpicking issues with all of them, they just arent as magical as that one.
A fried motherboard, processor or video card? No attachments. They’re pieces that worked and they don’t work and you replace them. Replacing a keyboard is literally about replacing how you interact with your computer.
But it’d be rainbow paying for it c:
Still, I think you’d be annoyed over being out of pocket for a new keyboard because of your friend’s clumsiness.
I guess it also depends on what kind of drink it is. If it’s a diet soda, then it’ll be okay as long as you clean it up straight away–like, immediately. If it’s a regular one, or tea or coffee with sugar, then yeah, you’re screwed.
