I think Mauroz actually gave a hint a while back she’d appear, the question is we don’t know hwo Sunset will be in this version just yet. She could be bad and with her old personality like she was in the first movie, or like her new personality as of the Friendship Games movie.
I guess all we can do is wait and see. Not knowing which side she’s on will be interesting, though due to the pic of those who represent the 7 sins I expect she’s more likely to be an ally. Or maybe at the very least, an enemy who eventually becomes an ally to the Mane 6.
