In that version, Wystie is Spike’s ‘mother’.

Maybe this: G3 had to eras, Pre-Core7 and Post-Core7. Former had no main cast and had great, subtle characterisation with a consistent world-building and sweet stories. Latter was dumbed down plot with a watered down version of a seven-member cast from above said characters.
 
Everything before the ‘A Very Pony place’ trio is Pre~~, things afterwards is Post~~.

To know if you’ll like something or not, it’s best to just give it a try. It’s all easily findable online. Wysteria here is from The Princess Promenade. (Well, she’s in other G3 stories too, but she’s the central character of that one.)

A lot of people bash the past gens without having seen them at all; they see others doing it and think it makes them look cool. (It’s best seen with Rainbow Dash, as in the one who always dresses in style. G3 Dash is exactly like G4 Rarity, yet the same people will say G4 Rarity is their waifu but also say that G3 Dash needs to be boiled alive in sewage. Point it out to them, and they somehow never get around to answering you…)
 
G3 is definitely targeted at a younger audience than FIM. Sugar content is much higher, and no real ‘villains.’ However, it’s got some decent stories and characters, and Wysteria is one of the best.

I am seeing more g3 art popping up. This one is one with effort put into it. Is g3 better than most of us previous thought. If so than how is it good?

Well, she’s purple and connected to a dragon named Spike, but past that she’s not really much like Twilight. She’s a gardener.

Nah, it’s just a character from G3. She was featured in A Charming Birthday and The Princess Promenade, for the most part.  
There’s little to no basis to talk incarnations here, in my opinion.
