the confederacy lasted 5 years

this show aired for 9 years

i hate people who say the south will rise again. it didn’t live a full decade. at least the nazis lasted 12 years. the confederacy died well over 150 years ago with no major uprising to resurrect the south. you can go on about things that lasted longer than the confederacy. i live in arkansas and i say fucking drop the confederacy.

Oh yeah, the good old days of the fandom when everybody laughed at the idea of AJ acting like a redneck or Lauren wishing a world without jews without snowflakes getting mad at everybody. Sigh…

Can we at lest agree to correctly tag that flag on this site?
That is not the confederate flag.
That is the battle flag of tennessee.

This version was only copied by the Army of Tennessee (it’s basically the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia with its orange border left off to make it faster and cheaper to sew) in late December, 1863, and almost certainly was not displayed until 1864. For sure, the first shipment of production flags wasn’t even available until mid-February, 1864 (and probably didn’t reach any troops until March), although there’s some evidence one or two prototypes may have been flown by General Johnson’s command prior to that. For most of the war, the Army of Tennessee had flown a blue flag with a white circle in the center.
