Tips? Well the easiest one to say is “don’t sweat the haters.” Practicing that, on the other hand…
 
To be fair, this pic isn’t actually all that bad. Your lines are smooth, your message is mostly clear (even if it is a little self-serving/self-loathing), and your anatomy isn’t all that off in a cartoony sense.  
But mostly, just look around at other artists and observe what they do - where they put text in an image if it has text, where they put certain lines for specific portions of a character, etc. Personally, for a slightly more quick solution, I’d say try coloring and/or shading your images before posting ‘em. Just adding that bit of depth into a fairly sound linework will make a difference in how people see the image (people aren’t so keen to look at, much less upvote, an image that looks like a simple unrefined sketch)
