Music composer A.R. Rahman has been discharged from Apollo Hospital in Chennai, where he was admitted for dehydration. The Oscar-winning composer had been under observation and care at the hospital after experiencing discomfort following his return from abroad. He has now been released, and further updates on his health are awaited. A medical bulletin from the hospital read, “Mr. AR Rahman, visited Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road today morning with dehydration symptoms and got discharged after routine check-up." It was signed by Dr. RK Venkatasalam, the Director of Medical Services at the hospital.

According to reports in NDTV, musician A.R. Rahman was admitted to a hospital on Saturday night due to dehydration and associated discomfort. According to the publication, doctors confirmed on Sunday that the Oscar-winning music director had returned from London the previous night, feeling unwell, and went for a check-up. The doctors explained that Rahman was feeling unwell after fasting for Ramzan. They added that he is now out of danger and in stable condition.
This comes just weeks after AR Rahman’s ex-wife, Saira Banu, was also hospitalized for a medical emergency and underwent surgery. Saira has since shared a health update through a statement from her legal counsel, Vandana Shah. In her statement, Saira Rahman thanked A.R. Rahman and others for their support. She said, “A few days ago Mrs.Saira Rahman was hospitalised due to a medical emergency and underwent surgery. During this challenging time, her sole focus is on a speedy recovery. She deeply appreciates the concern and support from those around her and requests prayers for her well-being from her numerous well-wishers and supporters."
