I appreciate the offer, but it just doesn’t seem like a leap I want to make :D
Well, as the guy who does merch management for quite a few artists, I take the extra weight of doing that sort of work from the artist for, as some partners have put it, “an unbeatable price.” Likely referring to my sales cut. As mentioned, I also offer funding for production into merch that are things I don’t already do myself (currently just high quality prints).
I guess what I’m saying is, I prevent the job part of making money from merch from weighing your shoulders, by doing that part myself, and you still get the vast majority of gross sales.
If you ever feel interested, feel free to contact me. Ask any questions you like, if you do.
It’s just something I’ve never really had interest in doing. I’ve always been worried that capitalizing off of this would turn it from a hobby I enjoy into a job I have to do :P
This is why you have another company or manufacturer make it for you, and you have someone like me manage the logistics of it and determine who pays for the production (I help my business partners with production costs occasionally, for things like comics.), so you can focus on the art and such.
I can easily see a small or large vinyl figure of her. Just needs some 3d modeling done that a manufacturer will be able to use, which honestly isn’t difficult for someone that knows it (it’d be either my job or something that also going into production costs), and then getting an order made, and then putting those on an online store, which I just so happen to be working on.
Hell, add some functionality. She could hold pens/pencils, function as a paper weight, or maybe a mouse cord bungee if it was made with even more thought in her design.
You should capitalize on this concept at some point. Just my opinion.
Smol snek is still 20 ft. of adorbs to luv ^ . ^
Yeah, full-sized wouldn’t be feasible. She’s 40 feet long. Even baby Kali here is 20 XD

That sort of thing is something I’ve never really been able to get into. I’m utterly terrible at sewing or making anything like that XD
Yeah, bean bag chairs weren’t never in super high demand, but I still think they’re neat.
And a full 40’ long Kalianne plushie probably wouldn’t be very in demand either. But, like, scale it down to a max size of somewhere around 3’4” - 4’ (with the regular sizes being probably about half that) and that spunds like it’d be much more reasonable.
Then again, I have no perspective or point of reference for any of this, I’m just talking about what would seem to make sense to me as someone with 0 experience in plushie production or sales or anything of the sort.
Bean bag wise, we’re probably looking at $200+ for a well-done one at purchase. Bean bag chairs also don’t sell well on a global market layout.
Plushies and figures, however, do.
And these are also radically cheaper to produce and enjoyed by a wider audience.
I can already see the potential, what it may look like, the potential price, and I know several production companies capable of it.
Heck, if I had a good 3D printer, I’d be capable of it myself.
I could probably get it figured out. The logistics. I already do that for my business partners, when it comes to comics.
Maybe something is in the future. We know when the sun rises, but not what the day brings.
Like, maybe the body could be properly sized, but with the tail curled up into a bean bag chair? Something like that would be cool. But a fully stretched out, 1:1 scale Kalianne would stretch farther than the entire length of my house.
So, yeah, small Kali plushies would be the most practical approach to it.
It’d be a neat thing, but very expensive I imagine unless it was fairly small :D
A life sized plush Kalianne to squeeze and cuddle and just love the heck out of.
It would need to be a firm in the upper body, and loose in the rest of it. Easy to do for any moderately-experienced plushie maker, but it just takes more time and costs a bit more.
Not that we’re not willing to pay that, right? XD
There absolutely should be Kalianne plushies.
(Why aren’t there Kalianne plushies yet? To work, artists!)
To be fair, Badum has drawn a LOT of Object Pony pics.
Edited because: I put the colon after the slash instead of after.

Too cute.
I like pretty much everything he’s come up with. But those three are tied for first because I refuse to pick favorites between them.

I personally like the sphinx in his latest drawing
This is the best course of action.
