Description
There is a second part of this image for Issue #31 (hot topic variant, natch), which Tony might tease today if there’s enough Rts for it.
Kind Aspen was humiliated by well to do based on him agreeing to really retarded terms and then was chained to a post and forced to wear an incredibly stupid costume to act as park Mascot, until Blackthorn, the only deer NOT terminally retarded and racist, came and saved him.
Pretty much, well to do waltzed into his throne room with one henchman while carrying bramble and said “Hah! I forced your son to sign a contract! I have now come, defenseless, into your kingdom, and expect you to recognize that this contract exists unless you do everything I say. Even though you could just grab your son and boot me out since you’re kind of a sovereign nation”
King Aspen is an idiot and deserved his humiliation.
He suffered some humiliation, but to me it wasn’t punishment enough.
@bingo77
So, which is it: he got off scot-free, or he suffered humiliations galore?
Now that I think about it, that comic was sort of messed up morality-wise. Aspen gets his forest back, suffers no punishment for his actions at the end, and Celestia is the one who apologizes to him instead of the other way around. Meanwhile Well-To-Do loses everything and ends up in a hydra’s stomach.
Maybe all that there was to take from that story was simply “minotaurs are pricks and deers as well”.
Well-To-Do trashed a clearing in a forest, basically making him a dick. King Aspen trashed most of Equestria out of petty vengeance, basically making him Poison Ivy as a deer. That comic was evil vs evil with Aspen on the eviler side.
Other creatures in my list that I want in the show. :3
As far as I’m concerned not only were both of them villains but Aspen was the bigger one.
Oh, please. Next you’ll be saying Trixie was the antagonist of “Boast Busters”, or that the Flim Flam Brothers were villains in “The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000”.
King Aspen wasn’t the villain of that comic arc, Well-to-Do was.
I won’t speak for anyone else, but for me it’s mostly that there’s other villains that could’ve been included, but instead we got those gremlins. I do, in fact, appreciate that some comic villains are put on the cover, but even then there are much better villains to choose, like the kelpie from that one FF issue, some Nightmare Forces mooks, the cattle rustlers, King Aspen, etc.
If the other half does include more villains then I’d be more okay with this, but short version is I believe those gremlins are a terrible choice to put in over many other possible villains.
What’s on the other half I wonder? It could actually be more villains if they are going for the civil war theme for this arc.
Parasprites and gremlins are really ruining this cover. It’s like he coudn’t come up with any more villains.
>Discord’s in, so reformed villains are included
>No Nightmare Moon, Sunset Shimmer, Dazzlings, Starlight, Ahuizotl, or Mane-iac
>Cloud Gremlins
Give me a break.
This. Tony is trying to force his precious Cloud Gremlins down our throats. He wants them to be the next Derpy. Only their designs suck and they have no appeal at all.
Oh and apparently the Parasprites were evil all along. That’s okay, never trusted those little pests.

Side note: JAM Project (Japan Animationsong Makers Project) sang this antagonist/villain song.
On the other side, probably.
