Uploader here. Guess I should’ve checked before uploading this… this pic is already up. Delete or something.

I wonder why that repost-detection-thing the site has didn’t catch it, though…

That’s not really what I meant exactly. Now as a plot device for learning more about the Geth he’s effective to be sure, and despite his limited involvement he does provide some interesting materiel, but that’s not really the same as getting emotionally attached to me. For me anyway he frankly was just not around enough or important enough to really ascend to the level of more then “robot acquaintance” at best.

To be perfectly frank I didn’t feel a ton about what he did in ME3. He wasn’t around enough in ME2 to make much of a connection nor was he really critical too it. (Indeed you could in fact never even get him and nothing changes) Now Mordin pained me, Virmire pained me, but Legion… I could respect what he did, but he wasn’t around enough to produce an emotional investment for me. So interesting character perhaps, but “robot buddy”? Not for me anyway.

Probably because his race is very tragic, especially in the case of the mythos. His kind is perceived as the enemy. Sure, the Krogan have the genophage and the Quarians don’t have a homeworld, but the Geth have no sympathy. The galaxy just wants them dead and gone. They sided with the Reapers not because they’re evil, but because they had no choice. Through Legion’s dialogue and logs, Shepard can see how the Geth truly think and feel, especially Legion, as exhibited from his loyalty mission.

I never understood why people made such a big deal of him personally. He’s recruited pretty much five minutes before the end of ME2 and is in one mission in ME3. He barely even classes as a “buddy” since he probably spends a total of like an hour or so in your party.

His sacrifice WAS in vain… at least if you chose the blue, green or red ending… wait…
