The people of a democratic nation must intelligent enough to reject the constant hypnosis and misinformation of capitalist leaders in favor of a government that is strong enough to cotrol the excesses of capitalism.
 
Unfortunately the American people are not severely but quite laking in the strength to reject misinformation and have little to no will to do research.

My view is that for all of its faults, capitalism is the most efficient and most practical system of economics. Conversely, socialism has proven to be unworkable time and time again, with Venezuela being the most recent example of this.
 
Of course, while it is efficient, capitalism is also inherently amoral in nature and can lead to social ills. Ideally, the government should curb its excesses with regulations protecting the environment, workers, and consumers, along with a social safety net.

bigladiesman there are numerous examples thought out all fandoms of extreme geekyness from the most asinine to the most incredible. And yet at the end of the day we all (or at least most) admit and maybe accept that it is a show originally intended for kids that features pastel colored cartoon horses. But honest love, no matter it’s focus, is strong and deep. It is geek.

Besides, the kind of supposed Communism we see here has more parallelisms with any totalitarian idea (ranging from that North Korean… I can’t even define what’s that thing to the Taliban regime) rather than with contemporary Communism, which has more in common with Socialism than actual Marxism. At least here, in Europe.
 
And, please, let’s respect each other ideas: Commie or capitalist, we all are persons. That’s the only thing that matters.

I love how all you Americans hate “socialism” because it’s not Capitalism, has capitalism really been that good for you? What proportion of your population lives below the living wage, how about below the poverty line?
